2010 Ford Mustang
Does anyone have any thoughts on what the new Pony will look like?
What it should have? what is shouldn't have? what it shouldn't look like? please speak your mind!! |
I'm guessing it'll have a 6.2L 400-hp engine. And look nice.

here is the interior shot, not much to look at other then the steering wheel.
http://jalopnik.com/348758/2010-ford-mustang-interior here is another shot of what it looks like a concept idea ripped off from the italian design.:mad: http://www.mustangevolution.com/forum/t27848/ more from the backside, looking at taillights. http://jalopnik.com/354362/2010-must...minal-messages |
i really hate how the new mustang is looking it better be fast that will make up for it.
and it better get good mpg, and sell becouse if it does not we might not see any more v8 mustangs with the price of gas these days...:( |
Tell ya what i DONT want to see
4000lbs $40,000 price tag at stealerships. I really get the feeling the new mustang is gonna be bought by people in the "Corvette owners" tax bracket.:(:( |

https://mustangboards.com/pictures/3...-revealed.html I don't know. I'm not liking it. I'm assuming this is where Ford will put the mustang to sleep as it will probably be the last we'll ever see it. |

They have to meet the 35mpg requirement, so out of all cars made and sold they have to add the feul economy of all the cars combined then divide it by the number of cars, if they hit any lower than 35mpg they get fined and taxed and stuff. for every single 20mpg mustang they sell, they will have to sell either a 50mpg focus, or two 43mpg vehicles, or THREE 40mpg vehicles... even if they go with that direct port what-have-you with the V6 instead of the V8, and they SOMEHOW manage to get a EPA rating of 30MPG on the mustang, they STILL have to sell at least one 40mpg car, or two 37.5mpg cars. The only way they can sell mustangs as they wish without having to balance things out is to manage to squeeze 35mpg economy per mustang. Man, i tell ya, there are NOT a whole lot of cars right now that can even get 35mpg. |
:confused:Hey I thought the original plan was to bring back 69-70's bodystyle right after the new S197 Mustang made it's debut. I know they were talking about it, but since the Italian dickhead decided to make one of his own, Ford is steering that way.:mad:

i correct myself...
The proposal would require each automaker's car fleet to achieve an average of 35.7 mpg by the 2015 model year. Light trucks, which include pickups, SUVs and minivans, would have to meet a 28.6 mpg average by 2015. The federal proposal is tougher than the fuel-economy requirements passed by Congress last year, which called for a 3.3% annual increase in gas mileage. The federal plan calls for a 4.5% annual increase from 2011 to 2015. If those increases are achieved, Transportation Department officials said automakers would need to increase fuel economy by only about 2.1% a year from 2016 to 2020. Regardless, i love the front end of the newer mustangs, i would like them to do something about the horribly cheap looking rear end on the s197. Honestly i would LOVE to see them lighten the car a little, add about 50+ hp, make it a fastback, and keep the price down to the lower 30's for a loaded GT. |

99-04's FTW :D
i test drove a newer GT today. wasnt that impressed myself. if someone would give it to me for free then i'd consider taking it. haha. |
really? i didn't know that. i know that he was saying that we didn't have a luxury exotic car in the lineup. Like you said, he made his interpretation of the mustang but with an exotic look and feel to it. I however am not to keen on the italian design at all.

still, 25 city.. for christs sake, my 84 civic gets about 32 in the city and 40+ on the highway, and it is 24 years old. then again, my honda doesent have airbags... or really anything.... more than anything else it is like a lawn mower engine stuffed in a lightweight enclosed go kart. |

i really dont want to see that in production in america though. |
I mean will it even bare the name "GT" or will they just call something else?
personally myself i would like to see a 69-70's retro stang, but then again been there and done that. |

This will probably be the 2010 Mustang right here. The body lines match those of the "masked" car seen and pictured on all the websites. You can see them if you look closely enough at the cover on all those pics..
|
reminds me more of a porche or nissan 350z body style the way the curves are on it, its def different
|
good god Ford! just bring back the badass bodystyle with all the newer electronic devices and comfort and etc built in.
|
No no no no no no NO! Mustang MUSCLE not SLEEK. Fack ford
|
ford = fail!! every one stock up on 94-04 stangs and foxs before there all gone..
|
i duno if the italian concept is the exact same as the masked one. the tal lights are a bit dif. but yes the lines match up quite a bit. and myself, a little earlier today i went driving a 2007 gt. i really liked it. i duno y everyone feels its sketchy....it just seems a bit smaller on the inside really.

i know i've said that the mustang is the only car i will ever drive, but think i might've lied to myself without not evening knowing it so, I think I've come to terms with that I'm a Ford & Chevy guy.
the Camaro gets a thumbs from me. But i seriously hope ford does something new with the new model, Camaro is looking pretty badass rite now. the new mustang in my mind, should look like the 69-70's body style with a modern day 427 big block. |

why? http://autos.yahoo.com/articles/auto...cm8tZXhwb3NlZA-- just follow the link so the SS will be about the same price/power as a GT the Z28 will probably cost as much as a GT500 and still have less power. im not following, sounds like the Camaro isnt gonna be so impressive once the new mustang comes out in 2010 |
