How much do you think i can get out of my stang?(selling)
if i were to sell it how much do you think i could get? it has 83,000miles on it. and its a 2001 V6 Auto.
all mods in sig. but if i keep the mods on it i wanna jack the price up(cause around here people buy on also looks.. i think it would sell better if it is how it is now than stock) + add the Roush Facia thats comming. since it's paid off ive been thinking of selling it and puttin a downpayment+ interest(sp?) on a GT.. my stang would be a great present for a kid that just turned 17-18 and it's almost summer time  EDIT** plus it has a Bumper to bumper warranty for a few years. |
You'd make more money parting out the aftermarket parts, restoring it to stock config, and then selling the car.
Aftermarket modifications make a car's value depreciate in 99% of all case. |
i'd put the aftermarket stuff on my new GT....

if i keep the mods on the car i would jack the price up. or when someone comes to look at it i will give em the choice of paying a couple G's more to keep it how it is or they can buy it cheaper stock. but if they want it stock then the mods would go on my GT
|
Take off anything that can go on the GT and sell off the rest or leave it and sell the car and get a GT then. I would keep the wheels, chin spoiler, grill delete, shorty antenna, and and swap headlights on the GT too (if you do a trade in), and the new front bumper shouldnt go on the v6.
Thats what i would do atleast. |
you just put so much money in that car, i would not sell it now.
|
if you just paid it off don't sell it right away. It feels good not making payments anymore instead of selling it right away and then going back to making payments

A 2001 VT Auto Coupe with 83k mile son it is probably worth about $6500. In this case, the mods might help a tad, but you will definatley get more money in the end by returning the car to stock and either selling or re-using the parts.
|
selling with mods can get you more money, or it can scare away buyers. lol
What aftermarket mods do to the value of the car is really only determined when it is sold. As a trade in they WILL give you less, but you can get a little more with the mods on. but you would probably do better putting it abck to stock and selling everything as parts. |
I wanna know why you would spend so much money on mods just to turn around and sell it

Don't forget about insurance, if you pay your own insurance I would stick with the sixer. If you don't pay your insurance then go with the GT. With all the tickets you have and being 17 I would say it will be about 4 or 5 grand every 6 months just be insured. Depends on who your insured with of course.

why are you selling it?
Im married now with a baby and a stepson, things have changed, and the $500 a month payment has become a burdon. She runs perfect, all the cosmetic issues have been repaired, (well, i have the new windowsills but have not installed them). The only issue is the rear passenger tire needs air every couple weeks, it has a small leak i havent found. http://denver.craigslist.org/car/674761470.html |

btw, i went to court. they pulled up 4 speeding tickets and 2 wreckless driving ones. the guy made a deal w/me that if i plead guilty to a wreckless driving ticket that he would drop all the others. i took the deal. so their will be only 1 ticket on my insurance cost and their is none on it now cause they dont know about them i guess. but i doubt it will go up any. |

Don't worry, insurance will definitely find out about your wreckless driving ticket and your insurance will have a nice bump. A good chunk of the stuff you put on the sixer won't transfer or won't need to be transferred over to a GT. And if you have a kid coming, why not keep something thats already paid off. If you are supposedly getting 2gs a month from your parents, why dont you start saving that.
