Dude, i saw an episode on RIDES about Unique Performance, it looked like a top notch shop!

Chip Foose not long ago worked with them to produce a resto-mod camaro, along with Year-One I think also. I don't think Chip Foose would do bussiness with a company like that unless they totaly covered it up. Looks like a reporter is trying to make a name for his or herself, and authorities who don't understand are jumping on it becuase the media has already spread it around.

That is nothing new, Unique Performance vehicles get brand new VIN numbers assigned to them by FORD. So yeah, they cut off the old ones.

Unique only uses origional oldschool unibody frames. They strip them down to the bare metal, weld in new areas to get rid of rust, sometimes they have a good front, and a good back, and they weld 2 frames together.

That is all on RIDES, they talk about the new Vins, they talk about welding 2 frames together.

They are all issued brand new ford Vins, i really think that the reporter is trying to make a name for himself.

as for the prison labor, there is NOTHING illegal going on there. If anything they are giving prisoners a chance to learn a trade so they dont have to rob poeople when they get out of prison.

The only thing i dont know about is the Bondo, and right now from what i can tell it is nothing more than a rumor, i tell ya what though, when i saw the shop on RIDES and the work they were doing it was nothing other than top notch craftsmanship with stunningly beautiful results. I dont think i saw a single frame in there with Bondo.
