Why did you get straight frames?

You know carrying a holster (two even :|) on the small of your back is probably the most un-practical and most dangerous way?

You want to have your firearm in a place where you can see it or it's easily reachable...ie not above your ass.

And you said you already carry 2 other pistols? What the hell would you need 4 sidearms for? You can only fire 1 at a time..
Honestly, even 2 is going a bit overboard if you're not an undercover d3lta fr0ce. You're definitely not keeping the weight down with all of that.

Keep as many as you need to feel right. I know a federal marshall that carries 2 pocket .32's, a mini .380 and a Glock 21. I respect him and I know how tough he is and how smart he is... he just likes to have those extra pieces handy. Sometimes you need a gun in the best place and not in the correct place.

Straight frame are pre-ban and make it much easier to transfer in many states with the high-cap magazines they came with. I have one of each model up till they announced the 36 and I made it my last Glock purchase.

FWIW, Bianchi made a similar holster 15 years ago. Honestly though I'd use a pair of high ride IWB rigs with spring steel clips on the outsides. If you need them connected use a sewing machine and some velcro. If you want a proper rig like that, contact El Paso Saddlery or your local shoe cobbler.

On an aside, I made my own single piece double gun rig like that for horseback work about a decade ago. It ended up adding 9lbs to my ass and making my back hurt. It was overly heavy and the sweat off the small of my back was all the time slicking up the handles on my pistols. Eventually I went with a ballistic nylon IWB.

I've had occasion to point two guns at once at different targets. If it hadn't been for the 2nd pistol, I'd have had to cover the pair much more aggressively and someone might have ended up shot with that added stress on a murderously stressful situation. With both of the perps covered at least loosely with a pistol dedicated to each of them the situation was resolved with a score of cops 2, store clerk 2, bad guys 0.

Peace through superior firepower is a reality. If you don't believe it, go to a gun show and disturb the peace... or just look like you might want to.

my mom carrys a 357 w/ her 24/7. and a diff. gun with a box of hollow-tips :D

r3dn3ck 01-09-2008 10:40 AM

hopefully she takes a trip to the range once a month or so to keep the skills fresh. Don't assume just having it makes the safety there. You need to learn weapon retention and correct cover/concealment and tactical awareness as well. If she hasn't had formal training, buy her a course. It'll make her safer and more confident.

StreetRacer 01-09-2008 10:46 AM

cant answer pcola any better than the r3dn3ck did but...bro you would not believe some of the places i've been...if i could carry 100 guns i would do that in some areas...and why do you think you can only fire one? i practice with 2... dude i've been in crackhouses where they had 12 year old boys chained up in closets for the junkies who wanna get high and then screw a kid...i've been to places where you walk in and theres a partially eaten baby girl on the floor...eaten by her parent with a fork...and still cryin...i live in a different world than most...i dont sleep much and i rarely smile...if i could carry 100 guns i would cause i know exactly what roams the streets at night

my moms dad was a cop(sherif), so she knows how to shoot and etc. she also goes to the range often.

found it!! http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/?filn...sv/gold_sv.htm

i think....still trying to find the link to actually buy it

PColav6 01-09-2008 04:40 PM

Here's the link you want, scroll down
http://bellcharteroakholsters.com/demon3.html

And.. the amount of guns you are carrying is no where near as significant as your skills with a gun and the ammo you're using. If anything practice with the glock so you become a great shooter instead of a mediocre shooter on 3 different platforms. The guys who do that tactical-speed shooting stuff can quick-reload their autos in a blink of an eye while keeping their sights on the target, and place accurate shots in kill zones quicker than some people could do with an M4 on full-auto.

Really, there is nothing practical about carrying more than 2 sidearms unless you are some kind of special agent doing some kind of Matrix shit. The only reason I see 2 as being ok is if your primary fails to fire or you run out of ammo for it, or in a rare case need to give it to someone else. Dual-wielding guns is not something that any LEO, Navy SEAL, Marine FR, SWAT member, or competition shooter would prefer to do. Leave that shit to the John Woo movies. One handed shooting is unstable enough as it is, but adding another gun to your off hand makes it worse, if anything it may boost your intimidation factor to an ignorant target, but anyone that knows how aiming a pistol works wouldn't be afraid to move out of your sights and fire back on you unless you were within 15 feet from the guy.

If the two targets are a distance apart, and you have trouble keeping your sights on both of them with 1 gun, move. Change your angle so their distance from each other closes in.

I'll take the guy with 1 pistol whose trained on it enough to keep his sights on the target while being able to reload in some milliseconds over the guy with his arms shaking wielding his 2 9mm Glocks any day of the week.

But I don't know streetracer, maybe in "your world," wielding 2 pistols at the same time and maintaining accuracy and being able to reload is as easy as cake. But if your line of work is as high-speed as you say it is, then you shouldn't have any trouble acquiring more adequate firepower, say an MP5, which would seem much more suitable for the situations you describe, I can't imagine why you would select two rail-less pistols for that. And don't you have co-workers or team mates that work with you? I can't imagine you raiding any building on your own, that's signing your own death wish.

God bless ya bro...thats exactly it...and it even fits the 2 glocks...by the way...you read my mind about the intimidation factor...thats mostly it...cause nobody wants to voluntarily come with me....most guys fight like their life depended on it rather than get in a car with me...and i guess it does...my mentor once told me, "never forget you are fighting for your paycheck...that friggin mope is fighting for his life and freedom..."so on some levels i figure maybe 4 guns is a bit of a deterent

ps...i would only do the 2 gun shootin thing if i was outnumbered and needed to get out of somewhere quick...like a housing developement full of gang members that dont want me grabbin the leader....tactically i carry so many cause what happens if i have one gun on my right side and get hit in my right arm as soon as the gun battle starts...if that arm goes limp i'm going to hell lot sooner than i planned....so i wanna be able to use my left hand with my left gun without thinkin....second nature y'know

You ever take a shotgun on some of your jobs?

lanmas23 01-09-2008 05:32 PM

i think that holster looks a lot cooler than it is practical. but when you get it, be sure to take pictures, maybe some videos, and let me know how comfortable it is! definitely an interesting idea that isn't out there too much.

shotguns dont look as cool when you rush in a crack house like the all mighty street racer, you need to duel pistols its a much better effect.:comeandgetsome:

StreetRacer 01-09-2008 06:10 PM

technically you cant shoot a guy when he doesnt have a gun....so its easier to holster a gun and get ready to rumble than it is to secure a shotgun when the guy decides to fight rather than give up

That's what 3 Point slings are for ;)

cpthowdy 01-10-2008 01:19 AM

just carry a fully-automatic assault rifle with bullets that go through concrete walls and your set!!.....or a BAZOOKA!!!lol

r3dn3ck 01-10-2008 07:43 AM

have any of you given any thought to the .400 cor-bon? I've really been tempted to pop for the extra barrel. I didn't really like the .357sig round cuz it was too snappy on the recoil but the .400 is supposed to recoil more like a traditional .40 or .45 ball load. I mean 165gr bullets at 1300fps is up there with .41magnum and full power 10mm stuff. With milder recoil... damn.

http://www.holsterss.com/servlet/the...holster/Detail
