Idiot with a ROUSH
 

Yah so last night i went out and got a few beers with my buddys. we went to a new bar in the area and saw an 07 Yellow Roush parked outside. We go in order some drinks, ran into a guy we havent seen in years. well, turns out it it is HIS roush, he got it 4 months ago.

It is a stage 2 roush.

He says he has a procharger on order and will be laying down 650hp with 11lbs boost. I was pretty dubious about that claim but im polite and i ask "isnt that a bit much for a stock 3 valve?" he replies, "It is a 4 valve"

I really dont know a whole lot about roushes so i figure maybe but i doubt it.
He then proceeds to tell me it is the same engine as in the 03/04 cobras.
I ask him to pop the hood and sitting there is what looks like an unmodified 3valve engine. it CERTANLY wasnt the 4v. But i just let him think whatever.

so he pulls his roush up and parks it next to my stang and lays on it up to about 4500-500rpm. Sounded pretty sweet. He asks to hear mine so i proceed to beat him by about 20-30db with my lack of mufflers.

I says to him "Thats how they sound without mufflers!"
"yeah mine doesent have mufflers either"

im wondering becaust it has what appears and sounds to be stock roush exhaust... whatever...

so he notices my CF hood (it was dark) and he totally ttrips out, said he had no idea they made CF hoods for mustangs. I show him the hood and the shaker setup and what not.
Then he asks "Do they make CF hoods for mine so i can keep my shaker?"

i look at his hood and it has a fake hood scoop. Shaker. Right.

So i tell him to just google some of them up and they run 700-1000

ugh.. fucking rich kids.

aanyways that is how i learned how cool the 07 Stage 2 roushes are with the shaker, the 32v 4.6l, with stock straight pipes and that they will pump 650hp with an 11lb of boost...


I guess we all start somewhere ya know... but whoever he was talking to about that stuff, man, they fed him a lot of bullshit. he really needs to read up. i just wasnt in the mood to tell him he wont see much over 400hp with this altitude, that it IS a 3valve not a 3, that his hood scioop is non functional and that he does in fact have mufflers.

Tell him there's a kid in Florida with a 1000 hp v6 mustang that would trade for his yellow roush + 100$ cash.

Poor kid just wants to roll with you jack lol. Some people just make up stuff so they wont look foolish among their peers but it backfires when the bs is being directed to someone who knows their $hit.

well, the guy kinda gets a free pass from me cause he is a cop. he is a bit of a jackass, very spoiled, his mom owns my favorite bar....

i know he did not buy it. i know mommy did. the guy is maybe 26-27 years old...

pretty much i leave it alone cause he is a cop and was there with a couple chicks. the last thing i need is to embarass the shit out of this guy just so he can search for my car while on duty and try to nail me after i had a beer. or get me cause of my tail light tints, or the knockoffs which arent street legal, or any of the other things a cop can do to make yer life miserable. he really is that kind of guy

i mean he isnt a huge jerk or anything, pretty chill.... just spoiled and not knowing what he is talking about.

ahh...gotcha. yeah I woulda kept my mouth shut too. cops have too much discretion.
