Im talking good shit like skull spliter, or celebrator etc... if you say miller or bush i swear im gonna **** you up.

ps- ive had some JD beefore i go out now.

MattJ 08-11-2007 08:05 PM

Spotted Cow, Hacker-Pschorr, Smithwicks, or MILLER LITE.
In wisconsin, we have so many brewerys, its not funny. Plus im 10 minutes from Miller brewery so its everywhere and cheap.

Jack The Ripper 08-11-2007 08:15 PM

aint nothing wrong with cheap beer.... it is like fast food, cheap and easy.

sometimes that dont cut it though...

i think some of my favs are...

easy street wheat
left hand pale ale
red stripe (even if it does come in a cough syrup bottle)
Killians
Any of Petes Wicked Ales
Flying dog has some good ones
Wynkoop microbrews kick some major ass...
tons of microbrews here.

Mattj i know what yer talking about. Denver has so many goddamn microbrews it is rediculous. Actually, the only beers i know of that any of you would know about would be the typical Coors, Miller, Bud, Corona, Heinekan, etc. the national brands. Half the beer in any liquer store here are local microbrew companys. I know wisconsin is about the same.

sometime i should take some pics of Coors Brewing Co. they have probably 30-40 acres of buildings all dedicated to making beer. they have a mountain of kegs, the place is so massive it is hard to believe. It makes malls look like minimarts.

Jack The Ripper 08-11-2007 08:15 PM

We call Miller training beer here in Mo.

Try some Guiness Stout lol

MattJ 08-11-2007 08:16 PM

Miller is next to the interstate so when you drive by, you smell it for about 2 miles.

LOL!!!!!!!!

coors is the same way. My girls mom lives in golden Co, and to get there you have to squeeze right buy it. and at once point travel through a tunnel of one of the buildings. I dunno what that smell is, but it is so thick you can actually taste it.

there is just somethin about sitting on some steps and drinking a ice cold Kind Cobra 40 still in the paper bag on a hot day

MattJ 08-11-2007 08:21 PM

I got no problem drinkin coors either. I dont like that thick shit like guiness. its horrible. I try to stay away from the dark stuff as well.

I used to like rolling rock until I got really drunk on it. Boy was that a mistake that night, AND the next day. Sam Adams Cherry-Wheat is also really tastey. Its a great "social" beer for cookouts or whatever to just have a few.

Jack The Ripper 08-11-2007 08:24 PM

guiness is only good in a fat glass with a 50/50 mix if jamesson and baileys in a shotglass dropped in. Then chug.

I think about the worst beers in my view are Oatmeal stouts cause you can almost stand a fork in them. I dont like my beer going down like maple syrup.

oh yah, and High gravity Steel Reserve cause no beer should BURN on the way down.

lol

MattJ 08-11-2007 08:25 PM

Ive had steel reserve, but not high gravity...
I dont care for it.

I stumbled upon it myself. I was at the bar and we were drinking 25 cent cups and dollar pitchers of it so they could get rid of it. We tapped the end of that barrel pretty quick. We were kinda upset when that was the last of it!

PureStang 08-11-2007 08:54 PM

my friend took his bottle of captain morgan and put it in the freezer. 8 hours later, it froze what ever was not alcohol. lol. then he proceded to drink 2 double shots of it.

I Love guinness, It's my hands down favorite beer. And you like Smithwicks so at least you're still supporting the guinness corporation. (gotta help out my Irish brethren) I personally prefer a darker beer over a light beer. I like guiness draught just for drinking, And guinness stout is awesome with a big meal. Smithwicks is okay, It's better than harp. Newcastle is okay straight, and freaking delicious with a shot of jager in it.

'02SilverBullet 08-12-2007 06:15 AM

You guys are naming some stuff I have never heard of, and I used to work in a bar. On the other hand though, when Im not drinking my norm (Miller Light) I like to have St. Paulie Girl or some Killian's Irish Red.

spike_africa 08-12-2007 09:14 AM

wtf miller and steel reserve im seriously going to have to hunt some of you down. Hasn't anyone actually tried other shit, yeah Guinness is good but there are far better beers out there and i hate beer. I only just started to enjoy some of the finer beers. I found one called "old engine oil" it has a picture of an old MG like i have and i had to try and it well it was good. That with a skull splitter and you got what is know as a "greasy skull".

Thank ****ing god someone else gets it. I swear everyone in any college town can atest that almost every college kid thinks budwiser etc.. is the best.:godamnit:

Codiddy 08-12-2007 04:14 PM

damn you got some anger there man. people like that stuff because you can buy a 30 rack and get hammered cheap with a few friends. Just cause you don't like it you don't have to be a hater. I don't like budweiser either, but i understand some people just drink it because they don't like having to buy something that only comes in bottles, or in packs of 12 or less. It's all beer man, therefore, it's all good in the long run. Thats the beauty of beer, everyone likes something different

Ok there princess.

:kekekegay:

lol... just cause somone doesent mind drinking coors does not mean they dont appreciate bolder and more flavorful beers. People dont HAVE to HATE major label beer to be able to enjoy beer. Ill drink damn near anything and i enjoy 90% of it.

every time i throw a party i get a keg of budlight or coors light. Easy beer that most people will enjoy. but every single time some asshole has to come up and bitch about it and say i shoulda gotten a keg of "insert dark/amber/ale/whatever" which at least half of the people at the party wouldnt drink. I normally tell them if they dont want Free Coors to go buy thier own ****ing beer. Then when they grumble and go to get a cup, i pull it from thier hands and say "No, go get yer own ****ing beer"

ive never understood this entire "Elitism" that some people develop around beer. That they are too good for coors, too good for budweiser etc etc. Well, one thing nobody can argue with is the numbers dont lie, more people preffer light beers from coors, bud and miller than any other beer in america. So to say you dont like that stuff is yer own preference, but to imply that it is crappy beer and everyone who disagrees is somehow ignorant, well, 90% of beer drinkers must be ignorant. To simply sit and say major label beer is garbage just really makes somone sound like they think thier own shit down stink and they are too good for everyone else.

The way i see it, beer is beer. Coors and Bud light are great beers, and if anyone disagrees that is fine with me, but please be careful i wouldnt want any of the holier-than-thou beer spilled on yer burberry scarves and caviar. In fact, please, let me open the bottle for you, i wouldnt want your pretty manicured fingers to be injured while opening a twist top, that is of course, if the unwashed are worthy of touching the beer of the clean.

lol...

its just beer. seriously. dont get snobby about major label beer. its just so,.... gay...
