Always a long walk to the Car.

Yes I admit it. I park toward the back of the parking lots to keep the door dings to a minimum. Yep that's my Electric Green Mustang out there all by itself - usually.
What really kills me is sometimes when I park way out there I'll come back to the car and someone has park right next to me :flameON: when there are hundreds of spaces empty around me....Go figure...
The lure of the Mustang...or something??????????????

Ghostalker 07-11-2007 03:16 PM

The only time this happens to me is when its another mustang or nice car that wants protection, so it will park to my left, knowing full well I wont risk dinging my own door by opening mine wildly.

same here. ive done that myself a few times, find another stang way out in the parking lot, ill go park a space away.

mustangs attract mustangs.

Green Hornet 07-11-2007 03:52 PM

Another Mustang, no problem - but a pickup truck or dare I say ....a Honda........

I always park next to nice cars because its the unwritten law "buddy system".

I protect one side of yours, and you protect one side of mine.

Watch our if the parking lot your in has shopping carts. A lone car at the end of a lot always seems to attract the wild carts!

That's good advice. I try to park in areas that are the most elevated and far away from others. How many others here get agravated when they see people not using cart return areas? I had to literally run the other day at lowes. I'm parked far away as usual. This woman in a van finished loading up her stuff just leaves her cart sit and gets in the van. The cart is rolling towards my car and I start running as fast as I can to catch it. I luckily happened to be going to my car just then. I catch it just in time and I hear her husband say "your cart almost hit his car!" and she screams at the guy and said "I CAN'T HELP WHAT THE WIND DOES!!!" It's really hard to have nice things.

what a dumb bitch. i can't stand lazy ****in' ppl that can't walk the extra 10 ft to put the cart in the return, or take it up to the store, or hell, push the damn thing in the lil planter there. geesh. lol, my posts seem to be filled w/a lil pissed-offness tonight...anyways..

I hear that...My first job was at a grocery store as a bagger/cart boy. People leave carts all over the place! Luckily when I got my mustang I was able to park against a wall towards the top of the lot where is sloped downward away from my car. Once in a while I would still leave work and some lazy a** would park a spot or 2 away and just leave the cart right there.

A mystichrome termy parked next to me at target once. :Woot: :breakdancesmilie:

one more thing that bugs me is sometimes at work I will get the parking space that's on the end. It is slightly wider than the other spaces and it has a curb that meets some bushes there. I back my car in and hug the curb just close enough to where my tires almost rub it which leaves I'd say probably 4 feet between my door and where the next car will park. People dont seem to go by the parking lines though... instead they judge where to park by how close they get to my car. They will park with their tires about a foot in my parking space. just another gripe I have. lol..

...It's really hard to have nice things...So true.

StreetRacer 07-11-2007 11:00 PM

me and my girl have to pack a water jug if i take my stang to the mall...just for the long walk

Babii C 07-11-2007 11:18 PM

park uphill. and away from others. (the stray carts cant go uphill!)

venom 07-12-2007 05:56 AM

I always try to park next to a curb. Only other way to avoid dents is to park an inflatable moped on either side of you.
