just got back. P0171:
"The PCM has determined that during testing, the duel system for bank 1 was too lean. (Bank 1 identifies the location of cylinder #1, while bank 2 identifies the cylinders on the opposite bank). any ideas on how to fix? |
Exhaust leak would do this.

well i dropped my buddy off at work today and just before i left the parking lot (luckily), the car died. popped the hood, and one of the rubber hoses/hose clamps on the cold air intake from the tube itself to the throttle body was off on one side somehow. of course i didnt have my tools with me so i had to tighten the screw with a penny, heh. seems to be running ok now, had about 20-25 miles to drive on the highway before i was home and she was ok.

that's called a massive vacuum leak. that's the other cause of a lean bank. good work.
