i may end up buying another mustang. lol its a 1996 cobra....ill copy and paste the details

Car has been in 5.0 Mustang, Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, Ford Builder, Modified, Race Pages, Car Craft, etc. Moroso and Fidanza both use the car in their advertising. Winner of several national shows including Cobra class winner at Fords at Carlisle, Extreme Cobra Class winner Late Model Mustang Club of Conn, and many others. Car is VERY streetable. Driven on and photographed on the Hot Rod Power tour with no problems. 542/410 to the wheels with 16 degrees of timing at 12 lbs of boost. Blower has a LOT left in it. Compression and leakdown tests are good. 180+ across all 8 cylinders. Best time of 11.1@123 with the 4:30s and 470 to the tires. Should have no problem going 10.80s with current setup. the owner and i are talking about a deal and if everything goes to plan, i should have it by june. it also comes with another teksid block and cobra crank, all i would need are some forged pistons/rods out of an 03/04 cobra and call it a day

EDIT: and i will probably entering more shows than drag events. i know its an extremely fast car, but im a granny when it comes to driving. lol

well in that case....jk

but seriously, i have seen this car in local shows (lives about an hour and a half away from me) and have seen it at the track too. my local board members are telling me that the car is pristine and it is flawless.

EDIT: also, i would appreciate if you guys kept the negative comments out cause it seems that its all that come from these forums anymore.

nah, im gonna either sell it, trade it plus cash to the owner of the cobra, or sell it to one of his friends (he is going to relay the offer to them). you dont understand how much i would love to keep the gt, but i have no where to put it as we already have 5 cars (2 in the garage, 2 in the driveways, 1 parked out on the street) so i have no idea where i would put a 6th car

well that is good then, i thought two stangs might be a bit much. But yeah if you can get this one without breaking the bank too much, then go for it. it looks sick and it gets up and moves!

If it will take some flamers off your back I'll tell a little secret.

I'm probably trading my GTI in for Jetta GLI

Not this on in particular but a black one close to this one minus the grill and the $1600 headlights...

I like it man, but you seem to make a thread like this once a month and nothing ever happens.

But that doesn't mean I don't think you should do it! :)

The only thing that I don't understand is why you would want to buy a car that has already been modded.. Where's the fun in that.. Unless you're getting one HELL of a deal..

PureStang 04-25-2007 08:03 PM

not gonna happen guys. he doesnt want to have the fact that he sold a 550 hp car to a young kid on his conscionus (sp?)

CCM 04-25-2007 08:05 PM

*conscience

eh its not THAT big of a deal. wouldve been nice, but my gt will eventually be a 4v.

wnracing 04-25-2007 08:13 PM

No man, it just bugs me.. Because of a bunch of idiot kids in the past alot of us get the shaft and have to 'prove' ourselves, or pay extremely high insurance rates and told we're no old enough..

Granted there are a ton of 'kids' out there that I don't trust to be behind the wheel of a 15hp lawn mower.. Example: badfish

But for people like myself that have been driving responsibly, have no tickets, or accidents, or ever been in any kind of trouble with the law.. We end up getting screwed over by the idiots out there that think they are invincible..

That kind of stuff just bugs the crap outa' me... :argue:

Well, you're 18.. And Im going to assume on your parents insurance ie: Multi-Car insurance so you really haven't had to see the big end of the stick.. Yet...

Im most likely going to have to find a way to bug my dad into adding me back onto his insurance policy to even get a '00-'04 GT just for the simple fact that there is no way in hell im going to pay $200+/mo for car insurance.. Why should I have to pay double or even triple the average insurance rates just because Im 20yrs old??

I have proven myself for over 5 years! (Started driving on a hardship @ 15years old) Have had absolutely no accidents, not one ticket on my record, have had my own insurance for over 2 years, and have never been in trouble with the law!!

It just makes no since to me.. Where is the incentive for the under 21-25y/o drivers to be 'good'? They won't get a break either way until they are old enough for their insurance rates to go down..

Uggh..

I remember hardship licenses!! I couple of people at my middle school had them when I lived in Memphis.

THEY SHOULD BAN ALL PEOPLE UNDER 21 FROM DRIVING. IN FACT, THEY SHOULDNT BE ABLE TO SIT IN FRONT.
AND THEY SHOULD HAVE TO WEAR A BABY BOOSTER SEAT

AND A BIB

AND BONNET.

hahahahaha

Jack FTW!
