The Emissions Issue

So I was listening to the BBC while cleaning the dorm room, and I heard that... "The Supreme Court ordered the federal government on Monday to take a fresh look at regulating carbon dioxide emissions from cars. The 5-4 decision is seen as a rebuke to Bush administration policy on global warming."

I just... JUST bought this MAC setup, the headers, the offroad h-pipe and the $350 exhaust. Currently Kentucky doesn't have an emissions program.. but is that going to change soon?

What do you all think?

Well that was it.. one of my cat's was shattered on my spliter, so I got a new offroad instead.

yep, keep your stock stuff. Eventually the rest of the nation will follow Cali and some of the other stricter states on emissions issues. I know in Cali, the Federal Government only allows us a few days where we can exceed a certain air quality and after that they can take away Federal Transportation $$ to fix highways and roads ect.....so as the population in some of your smaller states rises so will the air quality concerns and that's when your emissions laws will come into play.

A complete test, or "enhanced test" is required in Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson as well as parts of Adams and Arapahoe counties. Even if you happen to live in a county that does not test, or only has the basic test, but you commute into these areas, then you also need to pass the enhanced test.

A basic test is required in parts of Larimer, Weld, and El Paso counties. The area boundaries can get confusing, so if you are unclear as to your county's requirements just give the local title and registration office a call.
Colorado Springs is El Paso County. They just dont require emissions on cars less than a few years old.
