Ever hear of Paul Dalton and the $5,000 car wash?

I know that vid has been posted once (maybe more), but I'm sure most of you have seen it.

Well here is a thread more about his process and things he uses. It is on my auto detailing forum so enjoy. BTW, he uses very pricey equipment in this thread along with the $8000 Zymol Royale wax.

I would never spend that much on a car wash....

Grimmz 03-24-2007 09:23 AM

the difference was amazing but still cars are ment to be driven, unless you got millions and don't care about a couple grand whats the point...

02GTinSC 03-24-2007 02:14 PM

Is the car in the pics an Euro exotic? I believe it's built by GM of Europe, so it couldn't be the type of car you want to spend a few grand on clean up.

TClark22 03-24-2007 03:27 PM

the masarati?

i bet its worth it if you can afford to have such a nice car

02GTinSC 03-24-2007 03:34 PM

No, it's a Vauxhall. Long way from a Maserati. $27,000 will not touch a Maserati

Guy shouldve spent the money more wisely...8k for wax is absurd, and 5k for a wash is nuts. BUT I WANT SOME OF THAT FOAM BATH CRAP. What is it?

Yeah is that just like the foam gun they sell at autogeek?

As Codiddy said, it's just the foam gun that gives that effect. There are many many good shampoos that will give that foam action.

One of my favorite and cheap on the wallet is Duragloss #901. It's also a popular choice for the foam gun.

Thanks, Im going to look into that.

Isn't DP Extreme formulated specifically for foam guns too

I believe there are quite a few, but DP's is a popular choice.

Basically any of the boutique shampoos will work great for foaming.
