Damn Highway Patrol
 

So, I was running late to work and I was on the highway..

I was doing the speed lmit..then i hit a patch of trucks..the middle lane was open so i changed lanes and gunned it..knowing that my exit was coming in about a mile and a half.. i hit up to about 90 when i looked in my rear view and saw a white car jump into my lane..and noticed a black pushbar on it..

Instinctively I was just kinda like "F**K" got back into the exit lane and slowed down to 70... Welp sure enough the car got behind me so i was like "...whatever.." and pulled over i think before he could even flip his lights on.. walked up to the car..told me i was speeding and i was thinking to myself "no shit?" then he said he clocked me doing 116 so i was like "uhhh you musta caught me on a hell of a gust of wind cause i govern at 115 for one thing, and two, speedometer said 90 ."

He wrote me my ticket...85 in a 65..and then to be a douchebag..wrote me a ticket for my window tint..i've got a light tint on my side windows thats..hardly noticeable.. think he was pissed cause i told him his radar was a pos or something..

fight it... that seems like alota bs

You knew you were speeding, IMO, you got lucky (85 instead of 90) and if tint is illegal, then you got a ticket for it. I say count your blessings and pay the fine. If the tint is legal, maybe fight that part, but do the crime, do the time.

its always a good idea to go to court for the possibility that the cop wont show up or end up getting a reduced fine.

I'll be payin it.. as for the tint..i might be able to get that written off by my friends uncle

speeding is fun....

speeding IS fun but i wasn't doing it to have fun... i was doing it to hurry up and get my ass to work on time lol

i did that once in my previous car. i had all my firefighter turnout gear sitting right in the passanger seat and the guy still gave me a ticket after looking at it.

And Yea Badfish, lol it its a good thing. ;x I have my traffic court april 24th so i'l have plenty of cash for it by then..hopefully they let me go to traffic school though..cause uh.. insurance will kill me

( I already signed up for the school last year, but never went..so things might gte complicated. )

I think you should fight it. I just got let off a ticket I got, and the court date was postponed 2 times. By the time I went to court, the officer moved to a different location. Definatly fight it...

I lose money either way... i can't just take time off of work to fight a ticket .. and if the cop shows up, i lose, so then i lose a few hours of pay, and the ticket also...

You can fight a radar dude... but you did admit to speeding, first and fatal mistake... you just made their job that much easier.

Id' fight a radar, a laser's pushing it, but I'd go for the radar. You're lucky he didn't hand you a razor blade right then and there... they do that in Connecticut.

and purchase a radar detector, a cobra or if funds warrant, a valentine 1 will do.. but any nondescript radar detector can pick up a single or pulse radar pretty quick.

Don't give me that shit, youd be less apathetic if you got pulled over. I hate when people say oh well thats what you get for not speeding...show me someone who's NEVER sped before in their life...you'll never find one...

And theres a huge difference between speeding a little bit, and being wreckless...we all know theres time where the speed limit is rediculously low...like 35 on a 6 lane highway with a 15 ft median i mean come on...lets be serious...
