Earings (not girly) and Tattoos
who here has earings? im thinking of getting my cartliage pierced along with my ear lobe. only on my left ear of course. how bad does it hurt? like is it a throbbing pain or is it like a pinched nerve where its just annoying (talking about the action)
also, im planning to get a tattoo while im at it. lol. 2 of my friends got them and i plan on going with them when they get their next tattoos. here is one of my friends tats: http://a273.ac-images.myspacecdn.com...657d27e0d8.jpg im thinking of getting someting like this: http://www.96x.fm/pictures/tattoos/arm.jpg or http://www.96x.fm/pictures/tattoos/back.jpg what you think, also post some of your tattoos so i can start to sketch stuff |
Piercing your ears doesn't hurt at all.. Unless you are a little baby... Tat's, eh' not that bad, more annoying than anything.

earing is like being poked with a needle then it doesnt hurt. your cartalige (sp?) will hurt for a week, then about 3 months when you are sleeping on it. i had mine done and i just took it out because it always hurt when i slept on one side.
those tattoos are homo tattoos. chinese/japanese writing and tribal effects were cool in the 90s. right along with a barb wire arm band. :cop: |
i have my cartilage pierced and it just felt like a really bad pinch.
the whole sleeping on it and it still being sore sometimes holds true. i've had it for awhile and if i sleep on it, it will still get sore. |
Only cool tattoos = ones you get while in military/police/firefighter service IMO (haha)

Just remember, that if you want to get a real job someday (not that you don't have one now), tatoos and peircings are not exactly employment enhancers.

tats are for 18-25 year olds with too much money and a desire to fit in or for people who are genuinely into the whole body mod culture thing (fuggin weirdo's).
If you're going to get inked at least don't get something as dated/done/doofy as a tribal or asian anything. How ghey and out of date can you be? What tribe are you from <insert white guys name here... like Chad>? Get something original and for gawds sake no fuggin names. |

Really whats a real job these days anyway? do they have rules as to what you wear or how you look on a daily basis, or is one of those unspoken rules. im in the military i have the tats and some peircings. the only thing that i have to make sure i take care of is my tappered hair cut. gotta make sure the fade is good :tongueout: |

thats a bunch of crap. because you can get long sleeved shirts or blazers to cover up any tats that you have on your forearms. peircings are different.

Everyone that I know that ever gets one pretty much regrets it later, with the exception of the serious tatooers who don't care about anything else anyway. It might sound cool to say things like "people should except me for what I am" and all that other crap, but fact is, society has guidlines. Would you want a surgeon who was about to cut you open to have tatoos and long-hair? Of course not. Does it mean someone with tats can't be smart enough to be a doc? Of course not. Some day you might be trying to get a job, trying to feed little mouths at home and it will really suck when someone does not hire you because you do not look the part. As far as the military, I wore a uniform for 16 years. I know the military and tatoos are like cheese and crackers. But, you generally only see enlisted guys with them and there will be new rules soon to NOT allow them in any visible spot. They are "out of uniform". Go figure? You can't even smoke in the military hardly anymore. I fyou do get them, be sure they can't be seen. But what is the point of that? |

I've thought of getting a tatoo. If I did, it wouldn't be any larger than about 3". Would more than likely be on my upper shoulder/back area.
I've thought about getting the Mustang Pony tri-bar design. Attachment 25291 |
I wouldnt hire anyone with visible tattoos or males with visible piercings, ear or not.
Jmo though, feel free to do whatever you please with your body. |
