I want a giant taco that craps ice cream.

Hydrogen has a BIG problem for serious power. That is... it has an extremely low energy density when used as a combustion fuel. If you use it as a reagent with say oxygen like a true fuel cell then you get massive returns on your investment by way of large doses of electricity every time a hydrogen atom meets 2 oxy's.

The second HUGE problem with hydrogen is that the single most common source for hydrogen is, you guessed it... fossil fuels. Hyrdocarbons like OIL contain 2-4 times as much hydrogen as they do carbon which makes oil the leading source of hydrogen. It's not a viable alternative fuel yet because it's not an alternative to anything. You still have to drill oil out of the ground to get the stuff.

BIO diesel is the next wave. Then we'll move on to something altogether different.

ahhh f*** it i'm going nuclear engine with a fuel mix of plutonium and Uranium that will light a fire under your butt.....what why not the dude from Back to the Future did it

r3dn3ck 02-08-2007 10:33 AM

the nuclear reaction only powered the flux capacitor. The gasoline engine and Mr. Fusion powered forward motion and hover respectively. Mr. Fusion FTW

The only reason it worked in Back to the Future was because it was a Delorean. Nothing can beat that beast!
