Hell, this is the THIRD TIME I have written this response because these boards keep CRAPPING OUT, the problem aint my ISP either cause im doing this from work and we are an ISP provider. I can access any other forum board out there except this one. Right now im just writing this in an email so I can eventually get back online and post this response.

I'm still ticked at what you said on the last thread you made:nunu:. And if you understood how a forum got it's funding then you wouldnt be asking. And the forums crapping out is not AM's fault hell the fuelslut forums has been knocked out for about 2 monthes now. By comparison this forum is doing pretty well after recovering from server crashes.

I'm sure theres better ways to get funding then yahoo ads...

SN95forums has no ads... its run with money that the members donate and sponsors...

fact is...

the yahoo ads are gay... they weren't there a week ago, a month ago, a year ago... so whats the need for them now?

This is true there are ways to fund this forum. Mt used to back the forum pretty well as the sole sponser but then they wanted to separate themselves from the company so anything said or done on the forum wouldnt come back to haunt AM or MT.

As far as the forums go, whoever took over the 'site admin' and started changing a bunch of shit is the one to blame.. Before those changes, the forum very rarely acted up, and now every nite around midnight the forum crashes for about 20 min.

The yahoo! ads pull up a bunch of bogus BS, I've seen everything from Nissan/ Honda Ads to prescription pills and everything inbetween.

And what Greg said is true, on any given night there will be 20-30 members signed in and barely any posts. Take a forum like SN95, I don't post there very often, but I do lurk around.. If someone makes a thread early in the day, by the end of the day that post will be 3/4 down the page, because of new threads... This forum used the be exactly the same...

It's really not very hard to see, there is alot less activity here than there was 4-5 months ago..

I think this place could BENEFIT from having maybe a sub-forum in general tech related to repairs. We HAVE seen LOTS of repair questions from a LOT of members lately.
