Don't forget to vote tomorrow.....and if you don't vote, don't complain about sh**....ha ha ha....carry on.

Lances03SVT 11-06-2006 05:01 PM

Just vote for the lesser of two Evil's.I am so sick of the negative campaign add's that I'm about to go postal.

jjtgiants 11-06-2006 05:04 PM

oh man your not kidding....I think we are at an all time low in politics all over the country. It's just nasty. I've voted democrat since I was 18, but the democratic candidate for Governor here in California is so bad that I'm just going to leave it blank! Just horrible.

Lances03SVT 11-06-2006 05:09 PM

LOL Yea I think I'm just voting on all the bill's they are trying to pass.

not going to re-elect zeh governator ?!

Jack The Ripper 11-06-2006 05:43 PM

Well lets see....

Do i vote for the homophobe who promotes outsourcing to india and misused hundreds of thousands of dollars on frivilous expences?

Or do i vite for the hypocrite who wants to cut the military payrolls and and increase taxes?

hmmm.....

im not gonna bother voting.
honestly, i just dont give a shit anymore. all i see are negative campain ads. they all sound like a bunch of criminals to me.

ill let the rest of the population figure out who they want. it makes no difference to me. i dont like wading through bullshit, and that is what makes up 95% of politics. Bullshit.

whitethunder46 11-06-2006 06:34 PM

I agree with everyone here about negative campaiging. I was watching Sportcenter earlier. I kid you not when I saw 14 straight campain ads, ALL of which were negative. I've not seen, heard, or listened to any ads that weren't negative during this election, it's BS.

Therefore, if I vote, it will only be for all the issues.

SpinMedia 11-06-2006 08:55 PM

i always laugh at negative campaign ads, i think its so funny hearing each other flame each other. It sounds like elementary tattle tailing. "Dont vote for george.. he missed TWO days of work and said the "B" word one time.... Do you really want a gov't who said the b word?". lmao..

PureStang 11-06-2006 09:00 PM

i didnt register in time...i wouldnt have voted anyways cause its just a big who did what bad and im perfect stuff...all bs...just gimme my mustang and ill be fine:nunu:

wnracing 11-06-2006 09:12 PM

Yeah, I didn't register in time either... :godamnit:

We've got an idiot here running for senate Harold Ford Jr., John Kerry "donated" $1,000,000 for his negative ad campaign. Im gonna be sick if he gets voted into office.. :shakeno:

Ofcourse, Kerry already stuck his foot in his mouth and pulled it back out of his ass so hopefully we'll be ok! :boink:

wnracing 11-07-2006 09:58 PM

Well, it looks like Corker got Senate for TN! :Woot:
(maybe we do have some semi-intelligent people living here...)

But it looks like the senate race is going to be really close..... Recount in VA coming.... :shakeno:

Jurassic Park Quote.. "Hold on to your butts.." :ohsnap:

macs03GT 11-07-2006 11:21 PM

I certainly agree to a point..

The thing that I really don't understand is.. Why do americans fall for the "we need to make a change" garbage from most of the dem's? How many times have we heard this? Has anyone come up with what that "change" is? (speaking for the war in Iraq)

Why are we making such a stink about Michael J. Fox and stem cell research? WTF is arnold schwartzinhoweverthe****youspellhisname in office? lol! I mean really come on! :breakdancesmilie: lmfao

Im just really worried about Taxes, I mean im keeping my outlook positive but that is something that I do not look forward to..

Oh well, life goes on....

GREG@SN95 11-08-2006 08:43 AM

I vote...

I dont want my taxes going up... youd be surprised how many idiots like to vote to raise taxes

Well, the democrats have this "plan."

Raise the minimum wage to $15-20 Then tax the shit out of the middle class, most have said up to a 58% increase or more..

Basically what this means is, the lazy ass SOB's making $5.15 working @ Burger king or McDonalds or wherever they are Will benefit, and those who have worked hard to make it to $15-20/hr or more? Will they get a $10 raise? No. So, basically MOST democrats, again are trying to **** the middle class, and trying to hand money over to the lower class..

How would you feel if you had worked hard, proven yourself to be better than the next guy and are making $10-15 more than minimum wage only to have the non-deserving people get bumped up to your rate of pay and you get nothing more? I don't know about you, but I would one pissed off S.O.B!

Just to clear everything up here, im neither a democrat or a republican. I believe in voting in the lesser of two evils, and trying to look for the better leader of the two.

:nunu: :nunu: :nunu:

jjtgiants 11-08-2006 09:43 AM

Well, it looks like the Country has sent Mr. Bush a clear message about change.....I know many of you conservative republicans won't agree with me, but this election is a result of Mr. Bush's screw ups. With that said, it seems that about every 10 years or so we see a "voter" revolt of incumbents and the House or Senate flips over to the other side. It happened to the democrats in the early 90's and now it's happened to the republicans this year.....it will flip back around once people get tired of the democrats. Politics has cycles just like the economy.

We had a Congressional race where I live that has been what they call a "safe" district for the republicans, well it's not so safe anymore cause the republican that's been there for 14 years is getting kicked out of office! That's when you for sure know there is a voter revolt, when safe districts turning over.

As for Arnold Schwarzenegger being in office.....I'm not a republican, but I think he's done a pretty damn good job. We went from having deficits in Cali larger than most state freaking total budgets to an almost balanced budget without raising taxes and he's actually been able to work with both political parties, so I think he's done a pretty good job. Don't forget, Ronal Regan was an actor and Governor of Cali before becoming President....We love our movie stars out here! ha ha ha

I can see your not a republican, talking about Bushs screw ups. Where the hell was you during the Clinton years. That was all screw ups,and the dumb a$$ public voted him in twice. That shows that most of the people are just rocks. Regan was the BEST. Don't you forget it.:godamnit:

jjtgiants 11-08-2006 12:47 PM

[QUOTE=StormsGT;221499] Where the hell was you during the Clinton years. QUOTE]

huh? Anyway, I'll be the first person to admit clinton made mistakes....I have no problem admitting that......or acknowledging any other democrats have made mistakes, but what does clinton have to do with anything. He's been gone since 2000.

The difference between clinton and bush is that clinton to this day will admit he made LOTS of mistakes on policy and his personal decisions during his administration, bush will never do that cause he's afraid it will make him look weak or less of a man.

whitethunder46 11-08-2006 02:24 PM

fuk politics, I'm so damn sick of it. The only thing I care about are local issues and such, I'll never feel a damn change with a different president, governor, what have you.

With that said, minimum wage in ohio is no longer $5.15 and now is $6.85, whoo-hooo

GREG@SN95 11-08-2006 02:30 PM

I really don't give a shit anymore...

I'm with whitethunder... fuk politics...

As long as I aint affected... and the gov doesn't take my money or fuk me over... I could care less...

I really hope we dont yank outa IRAQ... but if we do... then i don't really care

wnracing 11-08-2006 03:00 PM

JJT: What mistakes has Bush made? Our economy is better right now than it when Clinton was in office. Granted we are in debt, but is that supposed to be new? We've been in debt for years..

The war? That isn't just Bush, I think we all know that the government as a whole decides what happens there, not just Bush.

Is it because he isn't an elequent speaker? Because he makes some dumb comments? Who doesn't?

All I can do is look at the results... Economy is great, just turn your TV on and watch the stocks every nite, they've been up by several points for weeks... I do agree that we need a change in Iraq, but what is this 'magical change' that the dem.'s are going to bring?

I don't know, hopefully it will work out.. looks like the senate is gonna be 49,49,2..... :dunno:

Jack The Ripper 11-08-2006 03:18 PM

Politics are funny, its amazing how people can almost completly change personalitys when talking about politics.

like dave. Man, everyone knows a guy like dave.

Dave is a guy i worked with. he was a tool. he was a bullshit artist. he was kind of a dirtbag. But he NEVER got mad or lost his cool. Even if he was getting ripped into by somebody for no reason, he would be calm and cool.

mention politics, and mention democrats, and he became this vile seething angry spitting monster. His face would get all contorted the way spinmedia's does when his gay lover shoves a red hot poker in his ass. He would seriously get all pissed and just venomous and raked with disgust.

lol...

i try to stay out of politics.

it doesent matter who is in office, i will be able to do what i want as i always have. as long as they stay out of my life i could care less

The mistake is the war in Iraq. Yes, Congress and a whole had to vote on it, but they were given misinformation regarding weapons of mass destruction. Where are the weapons of mass destruction? Please tell me where they are because that is why we went to war right? Don't tell me it was because we wanted to fight terrorists in Iraq because that's just what Bush said when he couldn't find any WMD's. Furthermore, the war is costing this country $10,000minute and every few month's Bush asks for $50-80 billion dollars.....don't you think we could use that money to help homeless veterans or making sure kids don't go do school hungry ect....That's a lot of money to spend on a war that doesn't make any sense.

As for a magical plan the Dem's have....I have no idea, but I said in a previous post that there is no way we can just cut and run because that country will be take over by terrorist and Iran....and that would be really bad. I haven't said once that I think the dem's will have the answer to Iraq because we are so deep into it now that it would just be really bad for the whole world if we just left. The point is that we should have put full resources in Aghanistan and killed every single terrorist in that country and not even gone into Iraq.....I'd rather us go to N. Korea or Iran if he was itching to get into a war.

I don't think Bush is a dumb person, but he does say some stupid things and I would hope we as American citizens would hold the most powerful man on the planet to a higher standard.

As for the economy.....I don't know a whole lot about Clinton's economic policies or even Bush's, but I do know that the economy goes in cycles so I would say Clinton was in when the cycle was damn good and bush came in when it started to slow down, then 9/11 happened and it really tanked. Then it recovered, not sure if he had anything to do with it or it naturally recovered like it cycles, but I never said the economy was bad right now.

04DarkShadowGT 11-09-2006 06:09 AM

Well it looks like the Democrats are getting what they wanted. Now we will see if they actually have any ideas or solutions rather than complain about the Republican ones.

I think there are two hopes for the republicans in 2008.

1. Rudy Guiliani, if he runs in 08 I think the Republicans will win in a landslide

2. Hilary, if she runs I think the libs see her as too liberal. I hope to god she doesnt win.

I think your right, they have been bitching and complaining for 6 years now and the public finally said here is your chance, get something done....we'll see what happens.

You know, I don't know a whole lot about Hilary, but I've always thought she was a little too liberal to for middle america....she'd do fine on the west coast and east coast, but not in the middle. However, someone told me that she used to be a republican before meeting Bill Clinton....I don't know if that's true, but I'm not sure she is as liberal as some of us might think. I think that's just a picture the republicans have painted of her to keep her out of the race because she can raise money like crazy and use her husband to gain support all over the country.

Now the dude that I think would make a great President is Senator Barack Obama from Illinois, but I'm not sure some of you rednecks are ready to elect a black President.....but if you ever have the chance to hear him speak check it out, he's pretty moderate and one of the only bright spots in politics.

I also think he would possibly be a good candidate, however he does not have enough experience imo to be president. Would be a good option in 2012 though.

This IS a joke right?............... :shock2:

He's only been in office for what..? 2 years? Harold Ford Jr. is a very good speaker, and extremely smart.... But he's still a ****tard.... (oxymoron right..?)

Don't wanna eat my words here, but he'll never be elected.. Dem's. are prob. going to go for Hillary, in which case... Im leaving the country... http://www.mcmmotorsports.com/smilies/nodno.gif
