About to start LT install...

Wish me luck. This is the biggest install i have ever done. I have one experienced person with me, so all should go well. We are going to pull a allnighter. For me, its like going to work because i work midnights.

Later, fellas.

MattJ 09-23-2006 04:31 PM

Yes, but you may have to shave one of the stock studs. Not a problem, only took a second or two. Then again, I have BBK's.

My buddy just installed longtubes and i cant say i like the way it sounds, he gained a nice kick of power from it but still, it sounds like a motorcycle now.

GREG@SN95 09-23-2006 07:16 PM

have fun... its not a hard install... they are just big and hard to maneuver under the hood

PureStang 09-24-2006 12:01 AM

the way i percieve it...it is just a very time consuming project...take your time and make sure u do it right hte first time...

and let us know how u do it...im doing mine and i think im gonna drop the k...if i do...im putting a tubular in w/ coilovers

i believe some people will disagree with that statement. i put long tubes on a LS1 and that is a cake walk compared to our cars. i've read a lot of horror stories on the boards.

good luck man

There is no maneuvering under the hood on our cars, they are installed from under the car. http://www.mcmmotorsports.com/smilies/nodno.gif

rofl.. now that I look back on it after everything else I've done the LT install feels like it was nothing.

foncarelli 09-24-2006 05:46 AM

I have been in a lot of fights in my day but, i cant believe that i got my ass kicked by some longtubes. I will give you guys the details when i wake up, i am beat.

Thanks to everyone that gave me tips because all of them came in handy. I feel like i can install anything now.

Im out ... 5,000 Gee. (Thats ole school)

foncarelli 09-24-2006 02:53 PM

I had to take the passenger side motor mounts and the starter off just to get the new one on. I aint even going to talk about taking the old ones off. Jeesh, i still have to do the drivers side. I have until tomorrow morning now, but i am responsible for cleaning the place up. Time for so Redbull and Cranberry to get me going. While i am taking a break, i am going to install the BBk T/B and Plenum. I cant wait to crank her up.

SpinMedia 09-24-2006 03:47 PM
