infact since you are in highschool, ill tell you that your plans will fall through. I havent made any plans for my car because they never go through. I just go along as I please... my current plan is to not spend any money on the car untill after xmas and it didnt work.

smg32208 09-18-2006 07:43 PM

haha i kno it always falls through, but i can have hte hood and bumper really soon if i want. i have enough for hood and bumper, and need to make a little more for paint. can get it painted and installed for 600.

mustangvsix 09-18-2006 07:50 PM

definately save for the turbos' you would enjoy those much more then a hood or bumper. I know i wish i could put all my looks money into something that would make me go fast like a supercharger or something.

Ghostalker 09-18-2006 07:51 PM

hmm hmm... twin turbo? do you need that much power? not to be an ass or anything but seriousely. I removed the rest of my post because I was definately jacking the thread, basically.

smg32208 09-18-2006 07:56 PM

haha well a single turbo will easily do. but twin was lookn pretty nice and sounded good......... what you got under that hood? eh....twin turbs

smg32208 09-18-2006 07:59 PM

or i can just get a s/c........ i just dont wanan spend a ****load of money on stupid parts and in the end b like.......i wish i got a s/c or turbo instead.

Ghostalker 09-18-2006 08:01 PM

well, the current trend (or so I am told) is going from supercharger to S/C, although with the new KBs out...... turbo is damn crazy!

smg32208 09-18-2006 08:03 PM

someone lead me in the right direction

B-rett 09-18-2006 08:05 PM

ghoststaulker wat are you talkin about

3V2000GT 09-18-2006 09:43 PM

well if you get twin turbos, just remember that there are a bunch of other stuff you have to get along with it, i say cams, LT and heads

going from a supercharger to a supercharger? that makes no sense. lol

i say just wait untill after christmas and buy a supercharger kit thats used from someone. there will be a bunch soon after the mph turbo kit comes out.

Rabbit 09-19-2006 07:24 AM

Yep, wait until JAnuary and you will easily be able to get a KB 2.2 for under $2k.

why wouldnt he want that much power---isnt modding thse cars all about getting more power??? we dont need our cars to be as loud as we make them we WANT them to be that loud--we dont need them to have our own choice wheels we WANT those wheels everything we do to our cars besides normal maintenance is because we WANNNTTTT it not becuase we need it

lol, ment people going from s/c to turbo =/ someone mentioned it before

Rabbit 09-19-2006 11:09 AM

I'd say the best thing to do, is both. Instead of TT go with a mongoose kit and get your hood and bumper. That way you will still have a 400+ rwhp car, and the looks to go with it.

Over 500+ rwhp isn't really streetable anyway. It is drivable, but not enough roads without cops to realistically use the power..

i say get a forged engine b4 you go turboed

GREG@SN95 09-19-2006 11:51 AM

do headers cams AND hood and bumper

turbo is a big thing... need a stronger motor

you could get a s/c too

smg32208 09-19-2006 12:34 PM

yea i was lookn at the mongoose kit s/c. 3700 i think it was. says it adds 130 hp. if i got this would i need to upgrade my rearend? and how much hp could i get from a single turbo?

Rabbit 09-19-2006 12:54 PM

Yeah, you would want to upgrade your rearend, not definatly needed but won't hurt. Get some Strange 31 splines from MPH for only $245.

GREG@SN95 09-19-2006 02:00 PM

uh... screw the turbos... too much work IMPO

buy a s/c ya'll wannaget new axels beef that rear up a tit bit...

thats really all the power ya need for a street car...

lts, s/c, axels, and do the suspension real nice ya'll havea quick car...

then get a new bumper and hood and it'll look good at the sametime...

matrixpuba 09-19-2006 03:49 PM

turbos!!!

venom 09-19-2006 04:10 PM

Be realistic, you will have to upgrade the internals from your block if you want to get that power. Get the mongoose kit and body work when you have money rebuilt the motor then get the SC or T. Like mentioned above 500rwhp is the max for a street car after that you have to replace so many things that it becomes a race car and not as fun to drive. Hp cost money, how much are you willing to spend is how fast you are going to go. I rather have a 400hp with a working motor then a 500-600 hp car with a blown motor.

smg32208 09-20-2006 11:56 AM

yea i decided im gunna do the hood and bumper first. then im gunna save up and if i ever reach the amount i need for the s/c then im gunna seriously consider it..... or i could just keep the money and not do a s/c. well see

smg32208 09-20-2006 11:58 AM

o yea is 600 a good price for painting the cobra r 2000 and rousch stage 3 front fascia. installation included
