Milk is pointless, They cut the power once the storm starts to hit us and we usually dont get power for like a week or so. So no fridge, and i dont want to spend money on a generater, rather just camp out

Icefreezen 08-29-2006 11:31 AM

Hell you dude, Black out hurricane bar b q's

SpinMedia 08-29-2006 11:35 AM

hurricanes are quite fun at times, seeing everyone outside doing non electronic activities, everyones camping out, playing dominos and cards and having old school bar b qs. Helping everyone out just for giggles.

Slither 08-29-2006 11:45 AM

Yeah we got worried here in the panhandle for a bit because the track was for Pensacola. People were freaking out last week about it and some gas stations were out of gas already from people filling everything up for their generators and cars.

Anyway man it sucks it is hitting you guys. I think with last year and the year before we need a damn break.

Hurricane parties are fun but hell, last year we were having them once a week it seemed like. It got to the point where I wish I was doing something else other than a hurricane party lol.

Some of my friends did do something fun in South FL last year..they took a big piece of wood and put some little wheels on it and held on to a tarp and used it as a sail and hauled ass down their street. The video's were awesome!

dude, when I lived in Ohio I used to skimboard down my street when the rain drains backed up...which was every time we had hard rain for more than 1 hour.

if you do it...be careful...curbs and concrete are not as forgiving as sand and water.

not really...been there done that. I'd much rather have wet sand over crete or curb.

Move to SC fonz, no hurricanes, barely any tornados, just plenty of freakin humidity...

spike_africa 08-29-2006 03:06 PM

my parents are at our business right in the keys (islamorada) now last i talked to them it was around 50mph off the top of our store, but sadly our camper is out back behind the store my dad is being a gangster again and is just going ot move it as the winds change near the store. he did the same thing with our old camper during andrew.

Nothing is happening so far only light rain. I bought a generator as no way Im going without power for 5 days like last time.

mustangV6_04 08-29-2006 10:12 PM

Huricane parties FTW!!! I live in flagler county which is the county just north of Volucia(aka where daytona is) and we have school tomarrow which is bull, but wharemtever. I also got a generator WOOT. I ember back in 2004 with I think charile or frances, I can't remember, we were out of power for 11 days. It sucked soooo bad and there was nowhere to buy generators and no vacant hotels.
