Dodge Caliber
 

Well I test drove one of these the other day. For the price, they're pretty sweet. I think this might be the car I'm getting. Any thoughts?

You are correct and incorrect at the same time. The Neon is not going to be made any longer instead they will release an SRT4 version of the Caliber 300hp 26otq I would not make fun of it as it looks like once again Ford is getting their ass handed to them in the hp wars. I have a Dodge Durango so I keep up on whats going on in the Mopar world.

I think you should not get the 1st year a new car comes out as there are alot of problems that pop up and are corrected the following year. I have alot of tsbs for my truck since it was the first model year. I love the styling,comfort and price paid for it something that the other suvs did not have. If you like american stylin dodge has alot products that meet this. If you like the Caliber just get it but there is an SRT4 model coming out so you may want to wait if you want something faster. I dont think I will ever get another Ford, my current mustang will be the only 1.

yeah the srt version will be sweet and Ford hasnt made a cool small car in many years. I have seen the Caliber in person and it just seems like another suv wanna be IMO. and yeah..I know the neon will be out of production.

I am slightly worried about it being the first year. The 2.0 engine is the same engine used in other vehicles however so that part of it I feel ok about.

As far as the SUV wanna be, this is a reason why I like it so much. It's not as large as an SUV so it keeps the compact stlye. It sits high though so the ride is extremely smooth and such. Also you are seated very well.

The caliber DID replace the neon but it's nothing like the neon.

I plan on getting the CVT transmission, sports package (includes colored inserts for seats, instrument/center console trim colored, fog lights, and 17" alloy wheels), and speed control. All this on the SXT version and brand new I'm still under 18K MSRP.

They've been selling like crazy around here and dealers can't keep them on the lot for more than 5 days.

This is replacing my mustang, which is still for sale. As soon as it's sold I'll be buying me a caliber.

Get the srt4 version and youll be ok. :)

I rather get the subaru baja then that thing, AWD FTW.

no way man, i've had a suburu baja... it's fun for going to the beach or something but it's a horrible car for a daily driver. all the passnegers in the back seat will constantly get sick because the car isnt balanced right for passengers. it's made for running a rally race or something.

i dont really know what it was about that car but everyone got motion sickness in it... or maybe it was because i loved to drive it like a rally car... =)

Yeah i have never really driven the baja, but i drove a WRX and an EVO so i can just imagine what an and all wheel drive baja could be like.

I've always loved the front ends of the new Dodge's. I do agree the rear end is awkward.

I would get AWD, but the extra money and less gas mileage says other wise.

I'm getting either Black with red inserted interior or orange with orange inserted interior.
