Fawk Verizon!!!
 

So after having service with them for 5 yrs i'm through with them! All this time, the phone has been under my brothers wife name, I got the phone when i was like 16. My contract recently expired 8.6.06, i wanted to renew it and get a good deal on a new phone and get the service transferred onto my name! I was contemplating switching to cingular and ran my credit with them and i was approved for 3 lines! I was also contemplating about switching to sprint, so i was approved for 5 lines! I already have 2 lines with t-mobile, 1 for my girl and one for my old lady but i don't like t-mobile phones! Keeping my number was a very important factor! So i went into verizon corporate and told them to switch the service over to my name. The sales rep i was with had an attitude which i didn't like. Anyways after about 15 minutes she comes back and tell me that I don't have any credit under my name and therefor I didn't qualify to have the service switched to my name unless i forked over $400 bucks.:rolleyes:...I said are you serious. I honestly could not believe what they told me. I said you need to double check that please! Again she gave me an attitude and said, sorry we can't do it...I didn't feel like getting into it with her, so i politely said, okay thanks for your time! I went down the street to sprint and got me a samsung a-640 for free! I was a bit pissed that they would give me bull**** like that! I probably should have disputed what she told me but i didn't feel like hitting my credit left and right! I'm very happy with sprint so far!

PS: and before anyone says anything i have good credit! My credit score is like a 720 something last time i checked...

i actually used to have verizon and i liked them they have good coverage. If the only reason your not switching to tmobile is because of their phones....i'll tell you this you can pretty much just pick out a phone and get it off ebay. I do it all the time. Even the ones that say ONLY VERIZON. Just get an unlocked phone. Tmobile is a good service.....i've had them for 3 years. I think i'm going to get that chocolate phone thats for *verizon only*. Easy stuff man. :)

They have the best coverage nationwide, hands down.. They are overpriced, but in the end for me it's worth it.

Also, depending on when you had Sprint / Cingular check your credit, it COULD have temporarily screwed with your credit. Too many credit checks within a short period of time has been known to do that.
