anyone know where I could buy a good radar detector? I am looking for a cobra xrs797 however the one I wanted to get off of ebay is gone. could anyone maybe post listings for me or something, or let me know where I can find a cheap one. it would be greatly appreciated.

Valentine 1. Its the best one IMO. dont get a cheap detector...if you are going to trust the detector it needs to be a good one.

my friend has a cobra, i have no clue which one, and has been pulled over 6-7times and been written a ticket for speeding with it. the only time it does anything is when the cop is facing you on a straight away, but by the time the darn thing goes off your screwed. your better off just doing the speedlimit, or 5 or so over then getting a cobra.

V1 FTW got it recently and its amazing! havent been pulled over once with it and i speed a lot and run a loud exhaust!

Aren't these radar detectors illegal in the first place? Don't waste your money on a cheap one if you get one is my advise.

No all the radar detectors they have been said are only illegal in 2 areas. I think one is Washington DC and I can't remember the other place I think its on the east cost as well.

Washington DC is in Virginia guys. And yes, they are illegal here (VA).

They are illegal in Illinois too. But to all you retards who say dont get a v1, dont know anything about them.

Now youll say "oh my brothers cousin has one" and frankly, you dont, so your ride in his car doesnt give you a legit opinion on the performance of a v1.

My v1 has caught a state trooper over 4 miles ahead in a hilly but straight area trying to bust speeders. Anytime id get near the top of one of those hills, it would go crazy and there is nothing but farm so it couldnt be a false reading. Id like to see any walmart radar detector that you guys are suggesting do that because fact of the matter is, it wont. Multiple test and trials have PROVEN that the valentine 1 is THE BEST radar detector on the market, hands down. It is also upgradable so you have the latest radar detector with the most protection compared to ANYTHING else on the market without having to go out and buy a new one every time.

Plain and simple, its get a valentine 1 or put yourself more at risk. Mines paid itself off plenty of times.

nah i live in illinois they are for sure legal if you live in illinois and don't have one you are one of the few... Because drivers from illinois rarely go the speed limit :beerchug:

Well...my cousin has a V1 in his Mazda Protege, and I'm using that to SUPPORT the opinion of getting a V1, and yes I actually to have a legit opinion because I have driven his car numerous times...so don't act like everyone that says "Oh well my brothers cousin" etc doesn't know wtf they're talkin about.
