If that is your fav car then go ahead and get it if you can afford it. Just remember the cost of ownership of parts like tires, etc will be more expensive.

yeah but i wouldnt do much to it at all appearance wise!! just performance mods, i found a 2004 cobra on autotrader from a private seller also! selling it for only $20,000 with 5k on it!! a big HMMMMMM.... if i may say... but has a contact #, so we will see on that!

so the miles on the vette arent bad at all??

SpinMedia 07-12-2006 08:42 AM

miles on the vette arn't bad, but think about once you want to sell the vette in like 3-4 years, the vette will have 110,000+ miles and no one will want that.

SpinMedia 07-12-2006 08:43 AM

BTW insurance is just going to bend you over and stick a fat one in you.

Yea something is not right there..there is a comp orange around me with 2,000 miles on it going for 35k

StangMan04 07-12-2006 10:20 AM

i doubt that cobra is in good condition for 20k, they have a 03 black cobra coupe in petersburg on autotrader for like $27k i think it was. i would be interested if it was like $24k, but i think im just gonna build the GT up.

IF that cobra is close to i would go check it out he might be in a situation where they have to get rid of it. I love that color.

Most Vette owners don't use them as daily drivers and that is why the resale is so good on them. If it is gonna be your only means of transportation and you expect to sell it for a good price one day...don't do it. If you don't care and want to drive the hell out of it, go for it.

stang00 07-12-2006 07:03 PM

i would not go for it u ahve a reliable car now and things on the vette might start to break with the yr and mileage u never no ur car is sound right now so i would stick with it and just mod it

Exactly!!

I had an older (1979) Vette as a daily driver and WOW what a money sucking biatch that was.The guy's at part's stores really start smiling when you come in and say you need a part for a Vette. They just don't hold up well being driven all the time.

SpinMedia 07-12-2006 09:37 PM

I pulled the vin on it, its a rebuilt title, the car was wrecked before, but who knows, if it was fixed probably go and offer the guy $17,000 cash for it, id take a look at it, sometimes rebuilts are built back perfectly.

SpinMedia 07-12-2006 09:39 PM

look at the pictures too, you can tell some body screws were painted over, indicating that the car was re-painted, probably from the accident rebuilt. I once had a rebuilt vette and my insurance company wouldn't even insure it.
