Not too much, I cant quite remember how much the PC cost to built, i think it was like $700-800 because of the specs, and the watercooling i did it all for $200. So he has only invested about $1,000 which is not bad, considering other manufactors charge up around $1,200+ for non liquid cooled PCs and the companies that do provide watercooled PCs charge more then $2,000 for them.

I put a lot of time on this one making it perfect, I also tryed to sleeve everything wire so it wouldn't look ugly, But I put a lot of effort into them. Kindof like people do with cars, i do it with PCs.

madmatt 06-15-2006 02:23 PM

Holy crap Spin, I wouldve never guessed you built computers...thats pretty cheap for the performance I assume it has. Thumbs up.

04DarkShadowGT 06-15-2006 02:30 PM

Whats the point? Sounds like a waste of $200 to me.

csledd 06-15-2006 02:43 PM

Personally, I don't care for watercooling... but you did a really nice job Spin, very clean :)

mustangV6_04 06-15-2006 09:45 PM

whats the specs of the actual comp?

I may be interested in getting a new comp within the next few months so I may be looking your way.

MattJ 06-15-2006 09:46 PM

Looks nice and I bet its fast!

zigzaggthefag321 06-15-2006 09:47 PM

if that leaks he is FLUCKED!

MattJ 06-15-2006 09:49 PM

yeah what if it leaks? lol

Badfish 06-15-2006 09:50 PM

LMAO! that would SUC

I have had a water cooled PC for a couple of years with no leaks so dont be afraid if you want to do one just visit Xoxide.com . My first try at water cooling was this pc about 3 years ago and looking forward in building a new one .

You buy a water cooling kit from a company like zalman, thermaltake, or corsair and you install it. Looks pretty slick Spin, what are the specs on that machine and how much is it overclocked?

I test it outside the case before I put it inside. With strong clamps and sealent chances of it leaking is like 1%, plus the pumps are like fish tank pumps, not much preasure, so if it leaks it will be tiny drops. I have seen people use radiators from cars for PC watercooling.

+1

Im a tech, work with computers every day & i've never been a fan of it. I run an AMD X2 3800+ and I run 46degrees celsius all the time..

yeah but start overclocking that thing and you HAVE to get a watercooling system. BTW 46 celsius is like 115 farenheit and thats still pretty hot. But i guess you can blame AMD for making such hot running chips.

My at home system is an AMD 64 3800+ running at 19 degress, pretty big boost huh?

spike_africa 06-16-2006 12:05 PM

i never realized home important cooling is untill i over clocked my old AMD 3200 it was 1g and clocked it 1.4mhz and it was fine ran fast and only was at like 110* then it started to go to 130* and up and up and i couldnt stop it and it fried itself. I lost all my data aswell (old built in harddrive crap). I stopped fucing around with overclocking after that.

19 degrees celsius = very happy processor

LOL some lessons are just learned the hard way.

spike_africa 06-16-2006 08:41 PM

ah whatever it was over 5 years old, so i didnt care. I needed to make myself buy a new one anyhow.

Im overclocked, and AMD chips run cooler than any intel chip could ever dream of. PLUS intel still hasn't developed a 64bit chip.

Intel :loser:

I call BS. AMD's processors just run way hotter than Intel and to argue otherwise will just make you look dumb. I prefer AMD, but they run hotter. But i knew you were full of it when you said intel still hasn't developed a 64 bit chip: 64 bit intel chips

even with a 64 bit processor, there are only about four programs written for a 64 bit so far anyway.

madmatt 06-17-2006 05:32 AM

"Oh yea, well my pocket protector is cooler than yours..."

:D Just kidding guys. Wish I knew half of the stuff about computers.

pepsiaddict 06-19-2006 03:53 PM

rofl. That second PC you posted has the "butteryfly" PSU. A long running joke between me and a few friends.

I also build PCs FYI. :punk:

shad0ws 06-19-2006 04:32 PM

haha, who doesn't build their own PC's these days...

Built mine about 2 years ago for $1500 including a $100 3 piece speaker system, a $450 19" LCD monitor, and a $90 Logitech Wireless MX Duo mouse and keyboard combo. Looked it up online see how much it would cost to buy a computer with the same essential pieces I have and it would of cost around $3,000 at the time that I built it.
