Ok, I've heard some of you talk about cell phones.

I'm looking to get a new one really soon.

Requirements: GOOD CALL CONNECTION
prefer flip phone
long battery life/talk time

I'm leaning towards the newer Sony Ericsson W300i.

i got the Razor.

I dig it. it has a metal case and is a helluvalot more durable than it looks. great camera, good connection. and im not one of those tech-geeky guys who wears his cellphone on his belt with his shirt tucked in, so being a slim phone it slides in yer pocket and isnt noticeable.

i ahve the old sony erickson from like 4 months ago hahah and now this one is out im pissed this one is sick mine is the side ways slider phone with camera vid internet aim andn all the goodies and i love it i also have cingular so my calls are all always clear and mostly never dropped

I have a motorola v710 from verizon! The best god damn phone i've ever had!Pretty good camera, speakerphone, bluetooth, transflash memory, etc. etc....

You have the w600? The orange one??

This w300 sounds like it's just the newer model. I think I'm leaning towards this one right now.

As for the Razr, I like it kinda, but i'm weird and don't like getting something that EVERYONE has

yeah i ahve the orange one though i got a black case for it and yah the one i ahve is freaking awesome only minus about it that i will warn u about is the screen needs to be maintained and washed daily since it does not close it is unprotected and gets dirty and scratched

Anything is better than what I have. Like previously stated... biggest concerns are call connectivity and standby/talk time.

I want a cell phone to talk on like they should be, not all this fancy stuff. haha

BTW, how is the camera on the w600?

its great it can zoom up to 3 times and is very clear at night has a huge flash to get some nice night pics also

i have the mpx220 since 11-04 and its still one of the best phones out. its a flip phone with windows, bluetooth, mini sd storage, infrared transfer, and every other feature that a cellphone can have.

I have the Sanyo MM-8300. I like it. Camera, Video camera, flip style in red.... good battery life, etc etc etc.

i like sony ericsson the best. I've had the k700i and the s700i. If i were you....i'd get the k750. It's a nice little phone. I have a v3i razr now that i kinda like but i'm a big fan of the ericssons.

I went to go buy the W300 on friday but when I got their I forgot I'm only 17 and they won't let me sign up so I'm going to get it this weekend. I just like it because of the walkman so i can listen to music.

i have the sanyo scp-5500. sanyo's usually have really good bat life. ive had mine for over 2 yrs.

just buy it off ebay....saves you the trouble of getting it through the company and having to pay out the ass for it....that's unless they have a special when you sign up on it.

DONT GET A RAZR. I had one and it sucked balls...dropped calls all the time/****ty battery life/any extras charge you up the ass. Get a motorola v710, that phone is the ****.

When you do get a cell phone make sure you buy it online, youll save a **** load of money

that says it all...i have the razr and got it for FREE back in july when they were still 200+ or so. I still have it, and have dropped it twice, it is nice and durable...it is a great phone, and as 'jack the ripper' said it is nice and slim especially if you like to keep your phone in your pocket, no complaints about it thus far.

I have the Audiovox SMT5600 PDA. It isn't a flip but I LOVE IT. It has Windows Mobile on it, MP3 Player, blue tooth, long battery, etc. Dropped the thing in the toilet (don't ask) and still works great.

i also have the razr phone and have not had any problems with it so far
i agree with the others about it being easy to carry. i have alltel service
and it has been a great little phone to bad i am not smart enough to know
how to use all the features it has.

Go with Verizon and get the Samsung SCH-a970. It's expensive as hell but it's the greatest phone ever. I got mine off eBay, unopened and factory sealed, a whole lot cheaper than buying it from Verizon. If you stick with Cingular then go for the Razr. I'm actually pretty partial to non-flip phones because they are more durable and because I'm in construction work, my phone gets the **** beat out of it when I'm at work. Next phone I get will probably be a Nokia because a lot of my co-workers have them and they take a beating.

I have Cingular and it's on a family plan so I have to keep Cingular.

I talked to a friend of mine who tried the Razr and he mentioned the battery life sucked donkey nuts, so that makes me weary of getting that one.

And I'm definately getting it off ebay or some website. Stupid to pay the outrageous prices at stores.

I'm thinking about switching to Cingular after my contract is up because I really want the SLVR. That only thing that sucks is that almost everyone I call has Verizon, so with my plan I have now, my average usage of minutes outside of Verizon is about 20 a month.

I use to have a silver razr, bought it last july and it worked great.. up until last month when i noticed it was relaly hard to hear on. so i took it back to where i work and got a black one instead. there are som eissues with some of the razrs, especially the black ones that the screen will go white and it'll reboot or there will be a humming sound in the speaker.. mine did both so i took it back and got another one and ive had no problems since. i love my razr

if you were to switch to verizon i would say fk that and buy the motorola Q! that phone is bad ass. im half tempted to switch because I can get one for $150
