Damn Teenagers...

Lol well yes i am one of them but i can actually drive and pay attention when i am driving...

Well school is coming to an end and more people that go to my school are getting in wrecks...

1. A week or so ago it was slick outside and i pull up to a redlight not only to see 3 damn people from my high school that went to fast and rear ended the people in front of them...hmm break earlier?

2. Just a couple of days ago a tuner man (likes imports but also likes muscle) that a year ago had a real fast Eagle Talon (shh...) and wrecked it going 110 going into a turn and landed in a backyard... well he is back and he has a 00 celica...but recently he borrowed his sisters car (eclipse of some sort) and was goin along and the same red light and tboned someone (he said they pulled out infront of him...but he was probably speeding)

3. Just this morning i pulled into the school parking lot...pulled my car in and parked in backwards like i like to do...well just a minute later a kid in a mazda mx-5 (lol corky romano) pulled in next to me and reversed to perfect his parking job...then bam hit a car...luckily it was not mine or else that kid would not be living...

GOD DAMN TEENS LEARN HOW TO ****IN DRIVE AND PAY ATTENTION WHILE DOING SO

well thats all i gotta say for now but there will probably be another one here soon

I waited till I was 18 to start driving (my choice) but I agree with your comments...I think the driving age in the US needs to be 18, not 16 AND MUCH more instruction should be required before a license is given.

Badfish 05-25-2006 04:47 PM

I wish they just woulda told me to not try to drift on dirt

haha..yeah get an AWD Stang for that next time.

jjtgiants 05-25-2006 04:49 PM

I don't know what to tell you man......I think teens have been driving like jack azzez since cars became main stream.....to be fair there are lots of responsible teens out there who do fine. I did good as a teen (i'm 28 now) and wasn't into speed and all that, but things are different I think. I honestly think 16 is a little young to be driving.

I completley disagree with that. I got my license a month after I turned 16. I am now 18 and am a very good and responsible driver and always have been. I soloed an airplane before I was able to drive by myself and became a certified pilot a few months after i turned 17. Yes there are definatley some very bad and unresponsible teen drivers out there but I am not one of them. I do think the driving tests should be harder though.

You are an anomaly. and so based on your reply you dont "completly" disagree with me. Yeah those rules would suck for the better drivers, but overall would mean safer streets, lower insurance rates. Look at what Germany does...18 to drive...lots of training and its very expensive to get and keep a drivers license there. They have much better driving results than the US. Oh, and maybe if there werent so many crappy drivers here, we could have an autobahn of sorts here in the US.

autobahn FTW but their drinking is much younger so germany and us both have their negative and positives!

I dont drink.(who cares lol)

there are not a lot of DUI's in Germany, more here i think. Ok, how about this: To get a license in the US you have to be at least 16, but be able to pass some serious tests. On paper and on the road. If you are good enough then fine...if not...start pedaling. Just an idea...keeps the age where it is and adds safety and better equips new drivers.

Oh, what is FTW?

Zaff03GT 05-25-2006 05:49 PM

i see what ur sayin but like u said it would really suck for the respnsible people

95STANG 05-25-2006 05:53 PM

You have to be crazy old and take a lot harder tests in Germany. But that's wat enables them to have the autobahn

Jack The Ripper 05-25-2006 06:18 PM

Thats how you know yer gettin old. LOL

I look at teenagers these days and think "What a buncha ignorant disrepectful idiots, christ, what the hell is the world coming to?"

lol..........

then i realize, when i was 17, somone my age was looking at me and my friends thinking...."What a buncha ignorant disrepectful idiots, christ, what the hell is the world coming to?"

and in 12 years, those 17 year olds will be 29 and they will be thinking.. "What a buncha ignorant disrepectful idiots, christ, what the hell is the world coming to?"

but normally that entire distaste for the youngun's goes away after i talk to one of them. Eh. he isnt that bad. the rest of em suck tho.

lol

You always think you finally have things figured out, then 6-7 years later you realize you diddnt know ****. I have a feeling this is gonna continue for a long time.
Ill mbe 80 and thinkin, what the hell is wrong with those damn 60 year olds? dont they know anything?

lol

The responsible people should have no trouble passing the driving tests. So why would it suck for them?

TClark22 05-25-2006 07:18 PM

i dont agree on the raising the age limit to 18 but do agree on some more serious test and should be more serious consiquences if a law is broken or in an accident that they were at fault...

i mean yes i have sped a couple of times but i got my ticket and learned from it by paying 135$ that coulda gone towards my car instead of that stupid ticket...and now i drive more resposibly and hardly ever got more than 5mph over limit

GREG@SN95 05-25-2006 07:22 PM

most kids can't drive
most old people cat drive
women cant drive (except for christie)

A drivers license should be HARD to get...

kids who fail their written or on the road tests should not be alowed to get their license for another 6 months or year or whatever....

I've been driving as long as I can remember...

used to only drive around the house... but then when i was like15 I'd go out on very very low traffic roads... lol... in NJ you cant get a license til 17...

Don't trust anyone on the road... most people are stupid and pull bone head moves...

zigzaggthefag321 05-25-2006 07:28 PM

yeah 16 is cool, but not without the involved tests. Who knows, if our nation's drivers throughout history had all been better drivers on the street then maybe our nat'l speed limit would be higher or something.

in germany you gotta work yer ASS off to get your license... it ain't easy at all...

a retarded one eyed one armed deaf std infected whore can get a license in the USA with her eye shut...

PureStang 05-25-2006 08:28 PM

I HATE ALOT OF TEENS THAT DRIVE...they do think that they are the king of the road...i have not yet done anything wrong (like cut people off/piss poeple off)....it annoys me when people do that....especially teens.....also.....they think that they are immortal....this one kid i know ran his eclipse off the road into a tree...then the tree fell on his car....gave him a good 8" scar across his forhead down to his left cheek....liek 150 stitches.....and guess wat....he hit a person last week...its rediculous

ill admit...i do some stuff that after i think...why did i do that...but ill never come to the point where im like "i can live for ever....lets run in to this 80 year old lady and see wat happens" ...damn teens...

*steps off soap box*

35thAnniversaryV6 05-25-2006 08:34 PM

I'm 18 and ive been driving since my 16th birthday and i have yet to get a ticket or hit anyone (been rear ended once). But i kno wut your saying all my buddies drive like crap. One got his license takin b4 his 17th birthday (too many tickets) another totaled his mustang within two weeks of getting it and another is on his third truck in two years cause of wrecks. I agree it really isnt that hard to PAY ATTENTION and drive safe when your in traffic. I will admit driving fast is fun but kno when, where, and how fast to go.

The speed limit on highways is 75 in colorado.:punk:

Nofire 05-25-2006 11:17 PM

I don't think raising the age limit would do too much good at all. The reason that most teens are bad drivers is lack of experience. If you raise the age limit to 18 then guess what, you're going to increase the bad drivers in that age group instead of 16. I'm more for a graduated liscense program where you get to drive between certain hours (like daylight) and without passengers. And then once you've done that for a year you can add passengers and a little more time after dark. And then a year after that (when you're 18, if you start at 16), you'll have a full liscense and can do whatever your parents will allow. I don't know if it would work, but it's an idea.
