light goes green and we both just kinda granny it, then i go a bit quicker, he jumps on it and i jump on it. He really beat the crap outta me.

The Lexus IS 350 Start at 36k.....for the base line 350 IS with no extra packages... i figure loaded would be at least 40k+

Calling the kettle black? My post was changed at 10 after, and you post was at 15 after. Even still, its a 14 second car. With your 4.10s, you should be in the bottom half of the 13s. traction shouldnt be an issue with 315s, and your car is tuned with an aftermarket handheld where your shift points can be changed. fact is, your sorry ass mustang is slow and you are trying to find someway to get around from that fact. Now get that pos out of the road so people arent jammed up behind that granny-mobile that cant get up to the speed limit.

I would have thought your gears would have made you pull away at lower speeds, but then again if you would have been racing hard from the start it might have been different. It sucks when most of family cars come with more hp than 260+ hp now days.

So yeah yer right, i suck cause i raced a lexus with 40hp more than me, possibly modded, and lost...... Let see, my K&N rates 9hp increase (probably generous) and Diablow might have given me an additional 10. He still has me by about 25+hp.

So he is still looking at more hp, i dont know how they are geared, and we werent exactly sitting at the tree there. We both kinds started and about 5 seconds after take off he was hauling and i punched it.
His backend was at my front bumper when i laid off. If i was prepared and he diddnt get the jump on me, i probably could have hanged with him. Diddnt even reach 60mph because we were on one of the main roads with other traffic. Maybe the full 1/4mile i coulta caught him.

seriosuly though...let your next mod be longtubes. This reason being, it will allow your future supercharger to breath easier. Sure it'll give you 100+ rwhp without LT's, but a stock car w/ LT's will gain a certain amount of hp, a s/c'ed car that gets longtubes gets more of a gain. Kinda like your thread a while back about certain parts complimenting other parts.

Oh and jack....when it comes to your car..your mode of transportation, if you're thinkin about forcing in 8 pounds-per-square-inch extra in your car...you better make sure that crap is brand spanking new and retail...buying under retail runs the risk of getting screwed over..and your car ultimately dying. Unless it's used from a guy you know VERY well and trust...I'd not risk it. Go to mph with 4500 and walk ( or drive)out with over 100 more rwhp

a used blower is totaly fine as long as its not leaking thats mostly the biggest problem you would have.
