RIP Kirby Puckett
such a gentleman player and a hero to anyone who is a "bit out of shape" but still can be one of the greatest players of all time. Sad Sad news. My prayers go out to his family. What a horrible way to die, but atleast he went painfree.

I read in the paper this morning that he was having surgery. Dam I didn't know he died... RIP Kirby. :(

Yeah I was really shocked when I read he had died. He was one of my favorite players when I was a young kid collecting baseball cards back in the late 80s/early 90s. I even kept a Beckett Price Guide from 89 I think with him on the cover.

born and raised in MN
I will miss him since he was my favorite Twins player.
My Mother is a beautician and Kirby's wife (at the time) used to get her nails done at the salon every few weeks. I still have a few baseball cards she got autographed for me. They were my little treasure. Also, I used to see him at his lake home in WI on Deer Lake when I fished that lake. he had a large house with one of the inflatable rafts with a slide that dumps you into the water. Rest in peace, Kirby. http://imagecache2.allposters.com/IM...HU016001_a.jpg |
