Something a little different...

Lately I've realized the ease of the 4.6 to 5.4L swap. I would like to do this and would do it right, meaning I'll buy a blank 5.4L block, a Manley/forged 5.4L rotating assembly and put it together myself. BTW this basic assembly is good for 700HP which is just fine for my application.
The block is 500 and the assembly is 2000. Not bad at all IMO, this is a 330CI.

OR you can get a 5.4 STROKER assembly that increases the stroke by like 3.75" i believe, increases displacement to 383CI!. Components are good for 1200HP. Cost is 5000 tho for this stroker assembly.

This would be awesome, and something different. My question, does ANYONE have any legit or reasonable numbers that this would put out? One with all the bolt ons but still stock heads/cams/plastic intake. And then how much gained with MILD cams/heads/aftermarket intake (if ones developed by then)

eh...its gonna cost you ALOT....for alot less, and alot easier you can get a s/c and put out better numbers

I'm not saying I'd do this at all. It's very possible I'll do a built 5.4L, just not stroker and then supercharge that. I was just curious, it would be cool tho, you got to admit that.

bigger displacement is cool and all, but nobody except mustang forum members would know about the engine...and none of them likely live around you to ever see it. Plus at car shows, it'd be too hard to prove that your mustang engine is 383 ci. However, throw some TT's on there and voila...instant loads of torque PLUS proof in the form of 2 turbines
