underdrive pulley?

i have a 03 gt which I have onley had little over a year. I am looking at doing an underdrive pulley change and purchaced the kit by BBK, When replacing the crank pulley Do I need to bolt the OEM crank pulley to the new one? It looks to me like it will rub on the A/C line just in front of the crank pulley.

If its piggyback, yes. If not, no you dont. I dont recall if BBK is piggyback or not.

The installation instructions that came with them say to bolt them together, however the instructions are for 96-current 4.6L/5.4L 6 and 8 rib auto/truck, not too comfortable with that and the pulleys aren't the same for some of these years.

Mid 2001+ had a water pump change so you need a different kit. There are mid 2001+ - 04 kits that you need.

The 96-01 wont fit your car.

got the correct kit from BBK for my 03 gt, however the OEM Crank pulley application is different on my budies 98 gt, both kits are from BBK but the crank pulleys are different, that why I am asking if it is needed, it looks as if it will rub the A/C line and just be added weight.
