Dealer Beware (Long but need to get the word out)

Click HERE for a copy of the letter that I have unfortunately been forced to send to my dealership along with their owning company. The reason I have had to do this is because my dealership, in short wrecked my brand new '06 Mustang GT with 1000 miles on it, treated me like slim and told me they weren't going to pay for it, that it was my fault, and now that it has finally been fixed are now refusing to give me documentation that the work has been done.

Please share your opinions they will be notified as you will see in the letter that I am posting on every Ford enthusiast forum I frequent to show that word of mouth is the best weapon against bad business.

This is where you get the law involved. Hire a professional arbitor and have him & the ford dealer sit down with you and you two plead your cases. I guarantee you will win 100%. I would ask the arbitor to order the ford dealer to give you a brand new car (Since yours was pretty much brand new) Or to have them fix your entire front end.

Keep us posted on what happens. I'm curious to see how the situation will be handled. I don't like dealerships...they charged me $80+ dollars for a "maintainance" which consisted of only an oil change and filter change...and I have a Saleen which says on the air filter shield that the filter not be changed so I can't possibly come up with an explaination for their efforts to rip me off. Plus I had warrranty and the dealership told me that that the Ford warrany does not cover any maintainance.

Get a lawyer who specializes in the Lemon Law. I did and won!

Wow, what a story. I just read the letter, though I only skimmed the last half.

I have 15 years experience working in the sales/customer service world, and I can tell you, they are just trying to bully you. You will win this eventually, but they will tell you how they are doing you a favor.

Fact: You left the car in their hands and they damaged it....PERIOD.

BUT: I am surprised that have not claimed that the after-market key-fob malfunctioned. Had it just started on it's own, then guess what? Not rerally their problem, in fact they could sue you.

BTW: I would NEVER, EVER install a remote starter on a manual transmission. Sorry, this just was not a smart thing to do. They are nothing but problems and I wonder why anyone from Texas would need a feature like that. Fact is, I think any alarm causing more hassle then they are worth. I have one and wish I did not.

SO: While I think this incident is 100% their fault and they have made it worse by deceit, you should not have installed one of those things and I would have it removed right away before something else happens.

WHAT IF: A small child had been run over by your car? I consider you lucky and if their best deal is to have them pay the deductable, that might not be a bad option in the end.

No lie this sucks, Not that you had to pay your deductable but the whole fact that after you crash your car is never the same. But do you leave your car in gear, when i had my stick shift i had a remote start but I would leave my car in N with a emergency break. Never had one problem.
