Bump Steer??

This may be a newbie question, but what exactly does the bump steer do? And is it worth getting? Is it basically a shock for your steering so your steering wheel doesn't jerk when you hit uneven pavement or bumps?

Bump steer is a change in the toe angle that is caused by the suspension moving up and down. bump-steer is mainlyfor the wheels to toe-in or toe-out when the suspension moves up or down. The main purpose behind a bump-steer kit is to correct the incorrect geometry and allow the driver to control the steering instead of the suspension. If you ever noticed going over a speedbump with a lowered car, if not properly done, you will notice the suspension turn the wheels on its own and not the driver.
