Service Engine Soon Need ADVICE

Hey guys, . It has been raining hard off and on for the past few days and yesterday I was at my parents house and it started hailing. My dad and I jumped in my stang and ran it to a bank down the street to park under their awnings in the drive thru. Water was almost curb to curb. It was like driving a boat down my street. This morning when I left for work my Service light came on. Did I get some water in my MIL eliminators. I won't have time until tomorrow to look under the car and pull them apart. If they did get water in them, can they be blown out or r they toasted? The car still runs strong so I know its nothing serious, but I'm just freekin out a little. Any opinion is appreciated.

Go pull the codes at autozone or wherever. That should tell you.

What he said! But, I'll betcha a $1.00 that it is the low coolant level that tripped it. Mine used to do that and get that code. If so, it;s a bogus code. It it does not go away or comes back, check the low coolant sensor. I can tell ya where it is.

OK. thanks, but why would the low coolant warning have been tripped? Also, if it isn't that, will the light eventually go off or do I have to clear the code. How do you clear the code, I know on older vehlces you just unhook the battery for a while...

Get it read first, then I THINK you can disconnect the battery for about 10 mins and it will clear the code, but Im not 100 percent on this one.

I got the car read and it indicated a lean condition on the #2 o2 sensor. I took it home and disconnected the MIL elims, and the battery for about 5 mins, put it all together and no more code. I'm goin to run it on the highway here in a minuet and I'll let you know if it comes back on.

BTW: How
do you know which is the #2 o2 sensor?

MT's #1 customer I'll pm you my address so you can send me my dollar!!! JJ :D

thanks guys...
