need help
I have a 98 gt,off road x pipe, flowmasters, k&n, 4:10 gear. In the last couple months I've changed the plugs, wires, injectors, coils, front o2 sensors, put in mil eliminators, new cam sensor, clutch, alternater, and tuned it with a diablo. Its actually running decent now... But aftet all that I'm still getting a 1150 and 1151 code, which was why I replaced the o2's and put in the mil eliminators. What else could be throwing the codes? I'm trying to get this fixed without throwing too much more money at it. I have to get this inspected this month. Any help would save my sanity. Thanks!

Its either a vacuum or exhaust leak. Bank #2 would be the drivers side.

I'll have to check that again. I know my exhaust is good, and I have found one vacuum leak and fixed it.pretty sure I'm leak free. I was reading that it could be my egr?

P1150 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Adaptive Fuel Limit - Bank No. 2.
P1151 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 2. A bad EGR valve wouldnt really cause a lean condition unless it was physically loose and causing a vacuum leak. If you look it over real good and still cant find any leaks, I'd start checking the wiring. |
Thanks! Ill re-check for leaks and Ill double check the wiring. I'm really hoping to solve this soon. I appreciate the advise!

A blown fuse will also throw these codes on an 02 GT. Don't know about a 98. Won't cost nothing to check. #8 fuse on an 02.

Thanks! I'll def check that out!
