Car wont start, electrical gurus needed.
Was working on my stereo on my car, finally got it all hooked up, was running and everything. I had to change a fuse, and went to start my car and it wouldnt crank. It seemed like it had a low battery, so i ran up and grabbed the battery charger, set it on for around 5min. Gave it a shot, same thing. When i turn the key, the gauges reset, as if i just connected the battery, and when i turn it to crank, it slowly cranks then makes this clicking/wierd noise like it wont let me start, and the theft light blinks extremely rapidly. I might be able to get a video up in a sec. Help please.

Check the battery terminals, make sure they're clean and tight.

They are fine, both clean and tight, just checked them.
|
most likely the battery or your shorting something with the new stereo
|
It started fine earlier, and i even tried it on a 50amp setting to see if i could jump start it. And idk what i could be shorting, anything thats getting power is covered completely with either shrink wrap tubing or electrical tape.

sound like battery. If it was the pats theft it would still crank. I think you just let the battery drain too much. Try jumping it off another car instead of off a charger.

Hooray! I hooked it up to the charger again and tried to jump it off the 50amp mode and it work for some reason this time. :D
