Any shifter is better then stock. I got a Steeda one used from American Muscles Ebay store and its great for the $90 shipped I payed for it.

WN, I'm assuming you installed the firewall adjuster. So with that in mind how do you install this contraption. Next week I am getting my T-45 tranny rebuilt and was thinking about letting them in stall my clutch, firewall adjuster, quadrant, and new MGW shifter. I ordered the clutch adjuster kit http://www.americanmuscle.com/noname3.html along with a SPEC stage 2 clutch and was also wondering if you think that I should just use the stock clutch cable instead of using the new aftermarket one included in the kit.

My clutch pedal is quite a bit stiffer than it was before. Could someone please enlighten me as to why this is so.

I don't think anyone is talking down to you (I know I'm not). Its just that the aftermaket quadrant and firewall adjuster is so much better than the OEM plastic piece. When you run the heavier pressure plates, you put more stress on the plastic and breakage occurs. If the OEM piece is working for you then thats fine. If you dont do a lot of speed shifting then you will do fine.

Use the stock cable. Aftermarket cables have a tendency to stretch and break.
