Gspot for the GT ?
Well all of sudden towards the end of last week after I filled it up, it seem's to have woken the heck up. I mean for a while now I have had to really mash on the gas peddle to get her to accelerate ( esp in the am when its been really cold ) so figured maybe the line was just really cold of something. Since we have been in Ice Storm hell lately!
So I go to hit the gas after filling up one morning, mind you its been really cold out and still is. And the thing is like on steroids now and I am like damn, this is great but what the heck happened? Kinda scary when its really icy out like today. I asked my good friend Rocky that has a very good looking 03' Cobra and has been around mustangs a long time too, and he said I may have had a stuck fuel inj and was only running on 7 and not 8, and now there all working correctly and have all 8 functioning. So I was curious if I should be concerned or what? |
Who, knows. It will be hard to tell now unless it goes back to the way it did feel. You could have just gotten a good tank of gas, the air was just right, something like that. Sometimes my Mustang will feel really strong some days but no radical changes from one day to then next.

I didnt know if I should see about getting a compression test done or what, I am planning on changing the brakes and plugs tonight and we'll see what develops.
Just wild all of a sudden, guess it took me paying a ticket the other week for this to come to surface. So now I just try to watch the speeds going through town here now. |
Yeah my car does the same thing.
It'll be great one day, and then shit the other. Its been like shit the past 3 times i drove it. Bastard. |

I would pull the plugs and see if any of them look lean.. I think that it probably the only way to really see if you've got a gummed up injector. Do you ever use any kind of upper cylendar lubricant or anything of the like? I use Lucas upper cylendar lubricant/injector cleaner just about every other tank to keep the top end clean and flowing.. I really don't think that there is any other product out there that does a better job.

I will look tonight Evan, thanks for the heads up!
I have never used any of the FI cleaners, but will look out for that Lucas cleaner you recommended |
I doubt it works.

Lucas is good shit. It's probably the only product along that line that I'll use and my dad swears by it.

Just so you know what you're looking for. I get the large bottle, usually runs between $9.99-12.99 @ Auto zone/ Advance that will treat two cars for about 3-4 months.

thats right Evan, you take good care of my baby. LOL.
|
Thanks!

I use that Lucas fuel injector cleaner. I have never been able to tell a difference after using it but Lucas products is about the only one of thoes type of products that I trust enough to pour into the gas tank.
|
I use my nitrous kits extra fuel to clean my top end out. Its really clean in there.
