Keeping the Stang in Hybernation

Due to the amount of salt on the streets here I decided to pick up a small SUV (01 Escape) and put the Stang in the garage for the winter.

Does anyone have a clue as what kind of preventative maintenance I can do during the winter to keep the car and all of her parts in good condition, for when I take her out in the Spring :o.

fill'er up with 94 octane and put fuel stabilizer in it if you plan on leaving it past spring...

There are a host of preventative measures you can do when you store a car for the winter or longer, but even for me, from the end of November to hopefully the end of March isn't really long enough to worry about any of the other ideas. I just filled up the tank, put some Stabil in, and threw a cover over it. I try to start it every week or every other week, preferably the later.

Thanks all!

Is fuel stabilizer only good for when your storing your car, not driving?
Can you drive with fuel stabilizer in? Just curious.

not to be a jackass but how do would plan on getting the fuel stabilizer out? I think dropping the gas tank would be a bit much work....

NO idea, I'm a retard.

fuel stabilizer will just extend the life of the gasoline to about a year to year and a half. just run the car to get the stabilizer out.

Yeah, what PureStang said. Whereas gas used to be 100% gasoline, it's not about 10% ethanol, and that shit causes a bunch of problems when fuel is stored over a period of time time from what I've heard and researched.
