Oil, Plugs, Tranny Fluid

Just a few questions about oil, spark plugs and tranny fluid. First off which is a better oil to use on my 01 gt, mobile1 or royal purple? Ive heard lots of good things about both and dont know which would be better to use or are they both the same? My 2nd question is what kind of spark plugs to use for best performance and last question is would it benefit me in any way to start using synthetic tranny fluid or would that just be a waste of time?

For oil, pick one, it doesn't matter. The time it does matter is when you start abusing the car (extending change intervals and loading the engine like in a race car). As for plugs, stick w/ cheap Copper ones. I like to stick w/ American plugs personally (Champion and Autolite/Motorcraft). Lastly, I would only switch the trans fluid if you need to actually change it. Otherwise, I'd wait until it needs to be changed to put synthetic in it.

I agree. As long as you are using a synthetic blend, you cant lose with oil. (ford recommends syn-blend for all mod motors) I stick with motorcraft plugs now after trying LOTS of others, and seeing no benefit. Tranny fluid is a different story. I have tried switching to RP for manual tranny fluid in a few cars, and always noticed a difference.

Doesn't matter on the oil. I use Mobil 1, but I'd have no problem with Royal Purple. I use Motorcraft plugs, not much experience with anything else. I also use synthetic transfluid, Royal Purple syncromesh.

Plugs NGK Tr55's. Oil can't go wrong with almost any syn oil, I use mobil 1 always that's just me. And for tranny fluid I don't know what tranny you have but it most likely needs a service anyhow and depending on what you have I would recommend different fluid.

LOL! Friends were visiting here from Belgium. Had a rental car. Poor guys had no idea how vast the western USA is. They thought they could drive from the Oregon coast to Boise, Idaho in under 3 hours....

I've been really busy, trying hit up everything before the Summer ends. Going on long Motorcycle rides, doing moutains, corners, curves, race and a bunch of stuff. I just got back Sunday from a LONG beach ride.

I've been more into my Motorcycle while I can. Of course and a bunch of other things, I've been meaning to come on here and chat it up.
