I have an SLP LM1 and catted X-Pipe. It is LOUD. I also live in a development. People either love it or hate it. The men and boys are always trying to get me to rev it it up. It is a hard combo to drive quietly, so I generally keep the rpms below 2,000 when driving to and from the house.

I have a neighbor (women) that I know pretty well who gives me a little grief. She tells me that she can always hear me comming and going and always know's when I start the car. She seems to think that you should never be able to hear a car, that's why it has mufflers. I pretty much blow her off and try to avoid getting on the gas.

As loud as it is, it is a lot quiter than many Harley's you will hear. So, keep that in perspective and avoid driving like an ars. Having a loud exhaust will prevent you from driving agressively because it makes the car much more noticeable. Sometimes I think it is a bit hampering.

Overall, the exhaust sounds great, but I wish it was about 20 - 30% quieter for my tastes with my vert. I am thinking of switching out my resonators to LM2's.

Yea, if you want quiet, the SLP company in itself is not the product for you. I dont know about the LM2, but the LM1 with even their catted pipe is loud as all get out. Shoot, that things loud with the stock mid pipe.

I have a full Bassani exhaust with cats and it's not really that noticeable untill you get on it.MM&FF did a test and a stock 02 GT gained 17.3 RWHP and 17.2 Ft/Lbs of torque.

I think the kids would love it but the cops depends if they are into cars. I get kids asking me to do a burnout. Slps have 3 types of mufflers, at least you have the option to change muffler without having to weld anything.

Here is a article on some catbacks

Out of the 3 they tested, the Bassani had the lowest numbers.
