Quick rear end question

If I were to get a 8.8 rear off a 98 gt with 60k miles and I wanted to put in on my 98 v6 cause I don't want to fix the rear wheel bearings that are starting to go would it basically be drop off the 7.5 and mount up the 8.8. Are all the mounting points the same.

Cause I found a place that I can get the rear for $550 off a gt with a blown engine then I will have a t-lok, higher gears and newer wheel bearings for $550

is this a good idea or not

It should bolt right up.

As long as it's from the same generation, then yes. Otherwise, you start to deal w/ axle length problems.
