Personally I wouldnt waste my money on the rocker arm tool, It's a bitch to get em on and off but can be done without a special tool, you just have to get the hang of it.

I take it you're gonna use the stock cams if you're using the cam lock tool?

Summit has got a couple,
A lock tool for $45
an alignment tool for $30
and a bigger set for $107

well i probably will go with a mild cam, this is gonna be a street build, but why cant you use the lock tool with aftermarket cams

the stock cams have a square hole in the back of the shaft, the aftermarket cams do not. The lock is not needed to do a cam swap.

O, well how do you lock A/M cams to time them

na svt 01-23-2009 01:53 PM

I don't lock them.

You only use the locks if you dont want them to move. If you're gonna swap them out anyway you'd still have to time them, so it wouldnt matter.
