Ignition Problem
 

It's a long story short, but my car doesn't turn off. I can take the key out and I can turn the car on as well. Like I killed it by putting it in gear and letting go of the clutch, but the car still stays powered on. So I started my car back up just fine and left it running so I wouldn't mess up my alternator. I even unplugged the battery and it stayed on. So I unplugged the alternator and the battery, now it's turned off.

The Problem: Lock - Ignition (Cylider & Keys) and it's still doing the same thing, but this time the key isn't coming out. I'm not sure if it will turn the car on because I haven't tried that. I have no clue what is wrong and I have no clue where to start. Could it maybe be my Ignition Switch?

Really do you have to do shit like this? Its why alot of members leave the forum.

Its obviously the ignition lock cylinder and needs to be replaced. Its not cheap to have someone come and do it also. Around $300 is what it costs to have a locksmith come out and do that for you.

I replaced that already and it didn't work. The only thing I can think it is is that Ignition Switch.

Edit: I'm thinking it's the Ignition Switch, because the new and old Ignition Lock Cylinder do the exact same thing. Maybe the Ignition Switch came off track and is only pushing the Start Switch on/up, but wont turn the car off. It either broke or came off track.

Edit: I took off the Ignition Switch, the Ignition Switch moves just fine. Now the part that's in the colum or whatever you call it I believe is broken. When I was turning the key to watch it move (that's supposed to move the Ignition Switch) it would only move towards starting the car. It will not move it's self back when I turn the key. Something broke, like a line that pulls it back when you turn the key. Which I have no idea what that would be.

So I found out the problem, I believe the ROD is either broken or missing a part. I went to show my father what I was talking about and then he decided to mess with it more. He some how got under there and was playing around. He found the rod that moves when you turn the key. He thinks there is something missing, like a spring, another piece, or it's broken. I'm going to wait until my friend's shop opens tomarrow (hopefully) and have him take a look at it.

Is this part easy to replace or fix? If this makes sense.

I think you should call a local car locksmith.They will definitely solve your problem.
