Radiator fan trouble
Are radiator fans pretty much plug and play after getting them mounted correctly I ask because on my way to work (where I am now) the cars temp gage went way up when I was sitting still but when I moved it would cool down to normal and When I popped the hood at a gas station after it heated up the first time I could see the fan was not moving I'm not incredibly worried about it right now because it's -1 outside but I need to fix it before it warms up.
P.S. I have to check the fuses first but I am betting it's the fan motor |
So this is less expensive than the factory replacment unit but has more cooling power what do you guys think

I had a similar problem where the low speed fan was not working but the hight speed was. Fan would turn on almost on L on normal. Turned out to be the temp sensor on passenger side coolant tube on a 4v.

I have a v6 though and the stock cfm that I found was 1250

There is no way its that low even on low speed as its the same fan used on the v8 cars, and I guarantee you its not enough CFM to keep that motor cool.

alright do you know what diamiter the stock stang unit is cause I found one that said 14 but that seems a little small

I fixed the problem I didn't even think to look for ice the fan was frozen but it's all good now lol
