Can't seem to find a solution for this...

I have an '01 GT and just before Christmas had to have some major repairs done to it. They replaced the rear axle assembly and the rear brakes entirely. Everything seems fine except that there is a constant ticking/squeeking sound coming from the right-rear wheel. I've taken it to two different shops and they've both had the brakes off, cleaned, checked, everything. The last time I took it in, the squeek stoppd for about a week before starting up again. It's a repetitive noise that seems to increase the more I speed up. When I apply the brakes a little it stops entirely.

If there is anyone who can offer any suggestions I would be very grateful. I've been pulling my hair out over this...

I had a similar issue after I replaced my front brakes so I appiled some of that brake quiet stuff on the pads noise went away.

Thanks for the reply Venom. Is that just a temporary solution or did that fix your problem for good? Any idea what would be causing it?

Has not come back but then again I have the SLP catback so I cant hear anything,it fixes all the noises.

Was this from a collision? Did they replace the axles? Or the axle housing or both? Big difference there. Sounds like you either have a straight axle in a bent housing or a bent axle in a straight housing. Put the car on a lift take the wheel off and put it in gear...I'll bet it goes up and down and all around....you'll see the bend in it.
