3:31 vs 3:73 rear end
ok, i have a 331 rear end, what am i lacking because of that ratio, what would i have or feel if i were to go to the 3;73 rear end. ( keep in mind that my gt is not a track car, mainly just light to light, and a little highway driving) ( And i know b-4-yall can really answer anybody in here, our questions, you all should know what we have, and how we drive our cars.) i heard that the 4;10's would be a higher running, and sound wise rpm's. And i dont know if that is good or bad.

did u not see gear sticky and the other 3403784 gear threads... dear god get 4:10's and stop posting
I was excessively rude to someone and my post got edited. I should watch it. |
whoa stevie... be cool.
go 3.73 if you have a stick, 4.10 if you have an auto. You'll be happy. RPM's will climb a bit at x speed from what it is now but not enough to worry about. |
did u delete my are you <needless fight starting words> part?

haha nice stephen

me... naw. Would I ever do that?
yeah. I did. And I did again. Please be cool to the newbs. Guide them, don't cuss them out. You are subject to random rudeness cuz you've been here long enough. Others are not and nobody reads the stickies nowadays until you point them there. |
Going from 3:31 to 3:73 is still a good idea. It won't be a huge jump but it will be noticeable and enjoyable. 3:73 gears are still good for highway driving.
