Mods for Roush Blackjack

hey guys my friend has one of the few blackjack mustangs, #68 to be exact. He is looking to do some little mods to it since its nice already i recommend the roush CAI and he already has the roush off road exhaust.

can u think of any other things that could be done but not too much to take a way from it

00gt_conv 09-08-2008 11:31 AM

Don't they already have all the Roush mods and isn't that like 1 of 100.

Lazerred6 09-08-2008 11:35 AM

If he wanted a car to mod he should have picked a stocker leave that black jack alone it's a collectors item:cool:

If your buddy wants something to mod, tell him to contact me. Maybe we can have a straight trade? My Mach for his Blackjack? lol

No point in buying muscle to leave it stock. Try telling all the Hemi guys in the 60's to leave it stock and see what the response is.

You friend must be loaded.

Lazerred6 09-08-2008 12:01 PM

the black jack is a little different though if he starts doing things to it that could decrease it's value I don't know about you but if I had a 2000 cobra r that shit would stay stock and they made 300 of those

Buy muscle is one thing and i totally agree you have to make it your own but buying a collectors item is very different.

Pulley?

00blkstanggt 09-08-2008 01:18 PM

There's no point of buying a car just to leave it alone. It's like people who spend $300k on a car but hen never drive it cause they don't want to put miles on it. Cars are meant to be driven and modded if thats what you choose to do.

I say mod things that can easily be changed back to stock.

sand1303 09-08-2008 08:04 PM

Pulley swap and a good Dyno tune.

krazypony 09-09-2008 06:09 AM

these cars were ment to be modified and played with a little... no sense buying a car just so it can sit somewhere under a dust proof area, and hope one day someone offers them a big check because its a collectors item!

do you think it will effect the Roush warranty?
and you would need re-calibration?

spike_africa 09-10-2008 06:31 AM

All that does it make your 6 rib pulleys 8 ribs so you get less belt slip when you try to run smaller pulleys with more boost. For that stock setup there is no point in doing that.

Cheddarbob 09-10-2008 06:38 AM

well how about this

Wrong!!

It comes with your choice of pulley too!Might as well do it right the first time.

Designed to help reduce supercharger belt slip on cars running smaller supercharger pulleys.
They help the boost come on harder down low and to hold steady at higher RPM's.
The kits are designed for 2005 -2008 Mustang GT/Roush/Saleen Supercharged 3V's.
In addition to color instructions, each kit includes all pulleys, hardware, a new belt, color instructions and a new supercharger pulley in your choice of sizes: 3.4", 3.2", 3.0", or 2.95".

I know it says 15 hp but it has to be more. If you get a tune cant u push out some more boost resulting in higher Tq and hp?(more than 15)

98svt 09-11-2008 10:30 AM

geez...
the only thing i would put on it (if he wants to swap even for my 98 cobra) would be a license plate frame. i think anything else would detract form the design on this car.
