what to do?

i have all the springs done all except for the passenger side rear spring. the bolt that goes through the contol arm is stuck in the middle of the hole it goes through.. all it does is just turn, we've pounded on the s.o.b to try to nock it out, impact gun, etc. nothing, wont come out. next thing were going to try is the saw. we've even tried to put it back through and nothing!.

03gtmustang 09-02-2008 12:04 PM

Why are you unbolting the control arm?

zigzagg321 09-02-2008 12:19 PM

it doesnt unbolt the control arm, well i suppose it does, it's just that 1 bolt right beside where the shock is bolted down at, once you get that unbolted the control arm will drop down and you can pull the spring out and put the new one in then jack it back up and put the bolt back through and tighten it then be done. but the bolt isn't comming out, all it does is just turn, im pretty sure the pos is rusted and etc. we are gonna saw it off so the control arm can drop, then we'll use the bolt from the V6(the bolt is already out) to replace that one.

haha. I think we should just give him the wrong advice all the time.

stanger00 09-02-2008 01:03 PM

is this the same guy that couldnt take off the tires because they were stuck...look man put your purse down and hit it like you have a pair. if that doesnt work take creatine for 2 weeks lift some weights and repeat the step above...if that still doesnt work repeat step 2 and then repeat step 1...if that doesnt work still than you know the drill.

Dodobird223 09-02-2008 01:53 PM

1) Take the bolt from the control arm out...

2) Shove it up your ass.

Dude, seriously, why the hell won't you pay randy?

I can't believe you fucked him over like that, how would YOU feel if someone ordered 600 dollars in stuff from you, you went out and bought it w/ no return policy. Then, they come to you the next day and tell you "No, I don't want it. I have the money, but I went out and used my parents money to buy a new version and WHILE I CAN STILL USE THOSE, I'm gonna go out of my way to be a jackass about it and make SURE you don't get your money, and spend it elsewhere right infront of you!

Go play in traffic.

stanger00 09-02-2008 02:14 PM

hell yeah...the "play in traffic" line never gets old

stanger00 09-02-2008 02:34 PM

V6_Mustang_Power 09-02-2008 03:08 PM

for the person who said weights i can prolly still out benchpress you, best ive done was 315x2 @ 180lbs BW. and i got it off for the people who actually care. cut the bolt off, lowered the amr and then beat the rest of it out and used the bolt from the v6.

Crimsonred02 09-02-2008 03:19 PM

Nobody cares, go ask your parents for more money and stop coming here for advice, no one is going to give it to you

no one cares...that you could throw up 3 plates...

im mr. olympia for all you know...chode

Crimsonred02 09-02-2008 03:23 PM

Maybe if you spent more time in front of a book rather than bench pressing you might be smart enough to get a GED.

00blkstanggt 09-02-2008 03:33 PM

Where is benchpressing 315lbs going to get you anyways. You want a gold star there you winner. Obviously you aren't that strong if that bolt was giving you such a hard time. Keep up your bench pressing, I'm sure it impresses all the trailer park women.

Steeda97 09-02-2008 05:11 PM

You guys need to give it a rest.

bassman97 09-02-2008 06:19 PM

So did the nut come off the bolt or is the nut still on? If you got the nut off, remember, while you have a jack under the control arm, have another one under the pinion so the pinion angle remains the same. Otherwise, when you remove the bolt, the axle is going to want to twist, jamming the bolt. If the nut is still on the bolt, saw it off and w/ the jacks in place, hit the bolt out.

Dodobird223 09-02-2008 07:33 PM

haha, it does. I didn't have anything wittier to say though. Thanks for callin me out on it! XD

SLP02GT 09-02-2008 09:00 PM

hmm. I just unbolted the rear shock and quad shock to remove my springs when I lowered my car...I think you added an extra step

no, all i had to do was unbolt 1 bolt, take it out, lower the arm(that the spring is on). pull the sping out, put the new one in, jack it back up and put the bolt back in and be done :)

SLP02GT 09-02-2008 09:12 PM

yeah I was gonna say its not really that hard at all
