What kind of oil do you use?
You should always use fully synthetic oil because of its durability and resistance to breakdown over conventional oil. If youve got the bucks, I say go with amsoil filter and oil, if not go with mobile 1. Never cheap out on something that costs so little compared to a repair bill for not forking out 4 xtra bucks for better oil.

Try looking into the intake hose where it attaches onto the throttle body.If there's oil in there thats how its getting out of the engine.A pint of oil in 100 miles shouldn't put out much smoke because the cats will burn it up before it gets out the tailpipe. If the oil is going in through the intake, try changing to a rubber hose and elevating it away from the engine before it goes into the intake tube. This will allow the oil to condense out of the blowby gasses and return to the crankcase. You can add some coarse steel wool to the inside of the hose to increase the efficiency of this homemade oil separator. The pot scrubbers sold in the kitchen supply isle at the supermarket would work well for this.If your'e afraid the wool will not stay in place, run a straight pin through the hose between the steel wool and the engine, then trim the pin to the right length with wire cutters.
