Should I do another Helicoil
 

I have a 99Gt and 6 months ago I had to helicoil the #6 plug on the cylinder head, on my way home Sunday I heard a ticking sound, then the poping sound as I lost power. This time it was the #5. Is it worth doing another helicoil, should I just purchase new cylinder heads(not stock PI heads), or just get another engine. From what I understand, if one starts blowing eventually they will all blow out. So far I have no engine damage. I need your suggestions. By the way my engine has almost 110,000 miles on it.

New motors are always nice but can you foot the bill? If you buy a new one it has to be forged and good heads since youre there. If #6 is still ok I would just Helicoil #5. and drive on until you can afford the good stuff.

Last option is to see if Venom will trade you motors :D

How much will a good motor run me?

you can buy a short block thats fully forged anywhere between 3-4 grand. then you have gaskets, new bolts, fluids, filters, and other misc parts and pieces. if you cant do the job in your garage than you will have to pay a mechanic to install everything for you and removing and installing an enigine is about 1k dollars that doesnt include the motor build up...just something for you to sit on and think about.

I would just helicoil and drive it.
